Fix for PVP chain exploit

"Fixed an issue where you were not getting killed properly when passing through the scroll gates before your alliance owned the appropriate keeps."-1.2.4

Is this what people were worried about for the DK chains fix? I understand people were hopping on alts to chain pull their friends to get past the scroll gates without taking over the right keeps to open the gate.

So now it sounds people will get insta-killed when attempting this meow

    FINALLY! I'm tired of these idiots I'm patrolling for. Keeps me up all night. Now...I can catch some sleep.

    I dont think thats the DK fix cause they can still pull you up onto keep walls and get passed keep defenses.

    agian the issue was that people were getting past the gate, not how they were doing it.

    "Fixed an issue where you were not getting killed properly..."

    Dk's were doing this, but a fix was not implement directly to that ability, but to the gate itself.

    I'm seeking confirmation that this is the right issue. I could be miss informed and there is another issue involving keeps and chains that they plan to look at chains directly, however I have yet to see an instance of that issue which would be considered an exploit

    True the fix won't change things for offensive scrolls, the ones that are not behind your gates.

    Also, if I'm at the scroll gate and a DK pulls me up I get insta-killed? That needs some testing.

    Still I believe this fix is better than no fix, but I just hoped that DKs wouldn't be able to pull upwards. Being able to pull up can lead to all sort of troubles with exploits. I use my chains just to pull people close (usually under the banner), or pull people down from walls.

    The exploit/bug they supposedly fixed wasn't that they could pull you up onto the walls, but that DKs could pull their foes THROUGH the walls.

    Don't know if it has actually been fixed though.

    People have been complaining about DKs pulling people up onto Keep walls to capture keeps without laying siege.

    This update fixes an issue where people were also going into other team bases and killing players at spawn; however, it still does not touch the issue with Keeps, which is where the initial complaints about DK chain came from.

    That actually sounds like a good strategy, if it wasn't for the fact you would need a friend on that alliance to pull that off. But I don't see how that can be fixed. I would just report the people I see doing it, since we cant just banish traitors from PVP........sometimes I wish SAO and alfheim Online were real MMO's
