All the way thru VR for this??

I was hoping for a cool disguise or a title at least, not a necklace I will have to sell.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the quests even the crazy frustrating death by random mobs. The journey was fun, the quest lines solid, the acting more than passable....

But would have been nice to get something worthwhile, not super powerful, just unique and worth at least banking...,

There are several spots where TESO gives you a reward that literally nobody will ever use. My new favorite is the blue VR10 necklace that you get for completing Crypt of Hearts, a VR12 group dungeon.

Whatever process they use to decide quest rewards, it doesn't seem to include a step where they ask, "Would this be a potential upgrade for most players who have reached this step?" But then, the whole game will need an itemization pass at some point. Crafting itemization is awesome. Everything other than crafting looks... a bit hastily done.

Yep. When I finished Cadwell's Gold, it was a level 50 necklace at the time. At least they changed the text of the tooltip to say VR10. I don't recall getting a single useful reward after you get the purple weapon from the Fighter's Guild quest line. Actually, now that I think about it, that is the only decent reward I ever got.

But hey, at least the game is fun...right?

Yep... you went through all that for a crap piece of gear, that you will probably throw away anyway.

They should have made it a kick-ass disguise or mega unique pet (anything would have been better)

"Adding insult to injury" kinda thing... If "VR content" wasn't broken enough, you also receive that for going through all your troubles. Just lol.

It was either laugh or drink heavily

I did enjoy doing it and will go back and fill in all the side quests etc.

But boy did they drop the ball on that reward.

The fighters guild reward is pretty much the only one in the entire game worth anything. Every other reward is utter garbage. It is either underpowered or for another class entirely. The single worst quest reward system ever.

Caldwell's gold quest reward should be epic but instead it's just another petty sting of missed opportunity by Zenimax.

Gemstone of skeletal visage is a reward from completing Stillrise Village. It's located on the left side of Shadowfen just above the halfway mark. You get it regardless of your choice.

Any sort of gear reward at End Content is going to be thrown away.

Do you know I've kept for years in my bank in WoW? Novelty items.
Magic wands that transforms people into bats, trinks that turn you into a reptile monster, a magic item that (which in my bags) summons a ghostly spectre that follows me around.
Gear gets chucked. Transmorg is the only exception and that stuff I keep in void storage. Neither exists in ESO.

In their defense, you get some cool quest items (the skeleton costume, for instance) and the 'experience' of the other factions' starting zones.

So when you do the quest that converts the necklace from Cadwell's Gold and the necklace you get from each of the VR dungeon runs (full complete) and they become a very nice V12 gold jewelry set ......Sorry wait. That was a dream.

Would be nice if they added an 'Epic Weapon/Armor' quest. That unlocks by completing Cadwell's Gold ,Vet Dungeons and other achievements. Then the 'crap' items at the end of the quest lines would not feel so bad.
