Maintenance for the week of March 16:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – March 16
• ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – March 18, 6:00AM EDT (10:00 UTC) - 4:00PM EDT (20:00 UTC)

Something I think everyone on these forums should keep in mind.

There is a lot of hate going around on anyone that starts pointing out problems with this game, the fact of the matter is the lfg tool right now simply isn't useful, looking for any role right now takes me usually a minimum 5 hours(currently I am VR6 when typing this). Some mobs are ridiculously difficult while others are easy etc. There are critical things wrong with the game that the ESO team doesn't seem to be addressing enough and these need to be brought to their attention or the game does indeed have a chance of dieing out which no one wants. Keep this in mind, putting others down every time they get frustrated with the game isn't solving anything, eventually you might be in the same situation. If there are problems that can be fixed to make the game more enjoyable all around then people need to speak up about them.

Agreed. There is nothing wrong with open constructive criticism. That said. There is very little if anything constructive about most of the posts here. Most of it is just people bitching, whining and spewing hate..
  • ianangelospreub18_ESO
Keep in mind, sometimes people just need to let it out and rant a bit when they are frustrated with something and just want to hear that someone is feeling the same so they aren't alone.

Most of these people have valid points, but it just comes out in a frustrated manner.Read between the ranting, and you'll see their concerns.

Um, so you saying "let it out" is ok? And the reason is to share frustration?

Feedback and bug reports sure! Annoyed or frustrated? Sure!
But only to "let it out" to find other who agree?

Doesn't that lead to a toxic environment? Instead communicating with Zeni?

I do think you need to deliver some kind of detailed info with that frustration.

Eh I certainly wouldn't promote it cuz your right it will lead to a toxic environment, mostly just trying to be understanding as someone who has quit the game twice out of frustration and didn't really have anyone around who felt the same.

Eh, ok. Dont get me wrong, I DO understand frustration.
But you make it sound like someone got fired or something. Its still a game....Even though! Its important to a lot of us.

I do not think these forums are ONLY for sharing negativity. I am sorry, but ONLY that doesnt belong here. Get a friend?

Being irrational isn't an excuse for abysmal behavior. It may be an explanation, but it isn't an excuse.

This is a written medium. That means you have the time to make sure your thoughts are in order before sending them out to the world. So put some thought into it.

The grouping tool has been broken for awhile now. VR1-5 if you search and change the tab from the search to the group or close the window with alt it will default to FG no matter what you had selected. At vr6+ it defaults to DC when you tab/change/close the window.

I think it should be kept in mind that these are General Discussion forums, not the complaints department.

If you having issues in game, post in Customer Support.

The thing with most people that *** and whine are those who have forgot how it was in there old mmo back when it was new which the may have spend year playing in so when come to new mmo the get mad for it not like the old mmo are and also some of those who whine and *** have also just play mmo like WoW for a few month or maybe 2 year and the want to have samething WoW have a easy game and easy way to get best loot. Even WoW have bug issues at there start heck WoW even got virus in to game which was like a sickness and you could buy potion to fix you char.

Thing is that Blizzard have mess up mmo genre so much with free epic loot and easy game play "mean you don't dead from pull mobs" so when game like ESO come around that is little hard "mean you have put in some effort to get what want" and combine with bug, lag other issues then you get people whine and *** everything and the start talk about this game should be better if the went F2P bla bla bla
If you find yourself alone, riding in green fields with the sun on your face, do not be troubled; for you are in Elysium, and you're already dead

    I buy a game because I can't code it.
I pay the sub because I don't own servers, or know how to code new material.

The game is broken on release (as some things clearly don't work), patches don't work, Add-ons that were left by the company to others to write (and make the game I pre-paid for playable for me and many others) become broken because the company can't be arsed to give the add-on guys writing support for the game a simple heads-up notification which would result in happier players.

And my criticism is 'incorrect' because I complain about stuff that I pay for being borked.

But because of all the stuff listed above that I can't do or have no control over, I can't criticize because I'm not able to offer CONSTRUCTIVE criticism about topics that the company isn't even taking info from betatesters about during beta?

    Huh.

And just to post something else:
I've played a lot of off-line FPS type games, flight sims, (no RPG games), and I'm pretty certain that the whining and complaining on the boards generall follows not leads the company actions.

No updates results in comments about no updates.
Broken updates generally results in comments about broken updates.
Delays and missed deadlines generally results in comments about delays and missed deadlines.

    You get the idea.

I don't think I ever saw an instance where a company released a broken update or missed a deadline in response to and to appease the forum posters who were clamoring for broken updates and missed deadlines.

CS forums are for people who need a hand right now.

The grouping Tool being broken isn't something that can be fixed immediately, nor is it stopping people from playing (grouping maybe, playing no). Thus general discussuion is the correct forum, although we would all rather they just told us they were passing the message along to the Devs.

an issue with the grouping tool is really a /feedback item rather than a forum item, that is if you really want someone important to read it anyway

    You are absolutely right.

But, it doesn't matter that you post cogently here, the forum avengers will still say you are complaining for the sake of complaining.

I hope they enjoy their game when the crickets are their only company.
