Power down the Veteran mobs please in the V9/V10 areas. And up the reward please...

Seriously, I have a DK and use Fiery breath which maxes out at around 200 hp. I really like my templar cause of the crowd control on him now. This random bandit hit me for over 700 hp using Fiery breath the same move in a V9 area. What kind of sick joke is this? I wish I did have a 725 hp fiery breath move.

If this is true, then the mobs in the higher areas are 3.5X stronger than the player in strength. Power them down please. Also ended up doing the Vile Mansion with just 3 players. That was kind of hard, but the reward at the end was the trollest thing I have ever seen in a video game out of the top 5 now. It sucked going through all that for a book that made you scream for no particular reason. I felt just like my character.

Problem I see is that I go to a lower level area and get much better reward and loot than the higher areas because the mobs are incredibly powered up and don't match the players in strength. 725 Fiery breath is only one of the few other moves that I have seen show up like this. And for some reason the drop rate in the Vile mansion and the previous public dungeon is just less than subpar to even pay for repairs at times.

And I await the elitist response. It really sucks for the people leveling to V12 atm.

No, I want harder mobs. I want to be in fear for my life every time I step foot outside of a town. I want normal hits for 1000+ from trash mobs. I also want trash mob healers to insta-heal every mob within a 50 meter radius.

i bet ZOS won't answer to your thread :) and you know why because they didn't answer to other similars post like yours. For ZOS VR is only for Elite players that's all no need to change anything (decrease hp,strength, mana of npc enemies) . Sad to hear but it's the truth :(

I am going to exploit the crap out of every lower level area until they decide to fix this. And I know of the way to do this. Fix this crap or its going to be harder on the new people is what I say. Much harder.

All the VR Mobs needs there power cut down by 60% or more... the game whent from Barly Playable to I should Demand my money back ... I like the game but I can get anyware or do anything becuse there is eather not enuff players doing the VR content becuse it's way too hard to do it or they just broke the game so bad that mobs now has twice as much health as I do I can't solo them... ZOS needs to rethink the content they need More soloable Stuff and cut the VR xp Requierments in half

Or they take your threat seriously and just suspend/ban you from the game. It's a lot easier than giving in to people's demands when they simply remove the person causing issues to other players.

VR content is fine! in fact, it is refreshing to finally play a game where you are fearful of dying! you want hack n slash mobs .. go play diablo or something! I am not trying to be rude, but seriously, enjoy the difficulty!

Can't ban someone on a simple game mechanic. Also every other mob there is a message at the bottom of the screen that says "Exploit". So if that is a problem, they may want to change the wording. Also the lowbie mobs dropping loot is a game mechanic. Since they have it that way, then I am going to farm the crap out of them at 0 cost. Treat it like that ongoing Cyridil bug they mentioned as a "grey area".

If VR content was 2 areas + the starter areas + craglorn then yeah it'd be ok. It's not though...it's 10 areas and it gets old fast. That's why the zones are all empty and people only do craglorn grinding.

I dont find the Vr10 zone mobs very hard at all, infact some seem to be easier then the vr8 zone mobs, I am Vr8 sorc and am half way through the Vr10 zone, seems almost like a cake walk so far.

Be lucky you are only being hit for 700 Health. I can't count the times a random normal enemy in VR 1-10 since 1.2 has insta killed me at full health (I'm 0/49/0) and the death recap stated it was from a normal (non power, non heavy) attack and it did 2200-2600 damage. This is with overcharged Resists and Armor. This still happens, although to a lesser degree, since ZoS stated they reverted the difficulty back to pre-1.2 when they realized the patch had completely screwed up Veteran Content.

Multiple players have complained of this and provided screen shots to prove it's still happening and ZoS is tight lipped about it. The only caveat I will give them is they have said they're working on tweaking Vet content, but haven't said to what end specifically.

I think they should take Cadwell's silver and shove it! Scrap all the quests in the VR zones give us like 10 quests per zone that enhance our alliance's story. This would promote the use of alts to experience the original quests. Doing all the boot licking quests in each alliance is too much and becomes boring way too quick.

As I said in another thread on this... every day or other day, a new thread about this pops up. And there is pretty much two types of people here, those that love it or want it even harder, and those that want it tuned down. The thing that irritates the ever living hell out of my black little heart is many on the side that wants it hard(er) start with insults and snide comments. There's already a couple of top-notch comments in this thread...

I have a VR10 NB that completed everything. Once I hit VR7 and up I found the whole experience irritating and annoying. So much to the point I have un-subbed as I refuse to take any alt through that again. And I have all other classes in VR right now. So... once they hit VR7ish... parking them. Then if there is something else entertaining to do, I will re-sub. But as it stands now, it's looking like I'm about to re-introduce myself to sunlight. That's really going to burn to... so I do hope they change this.

But at the same time I feel the hard core players deserve, even ENTITLED (many of you hard core types hate that word, how about when it's in your favor?), entitled to difficult content as they are paying customers and it's simply what they want and are looking for. I just don't feel VR is the content appropriate for such difficulty as it's still basically solo leveling questing. But that debate has been going on for months, and my soulless husk has no strength left to carry that one on.

But, if they cater to one side and not the other, they better get a whole now spectacular marketing and advertising campaign as they are going to be hard pressed to stay afloat catering to only one type of gamer.

Again all ZOS says, if they say anything at all, is that they are not ready to speak on it right now. If any changes are coming at all, it's going to be quite a while.

For those who have finished, I have heard rumors you're supposed to do something with it, but I've gotten no confirmation.

But the part where you said, "entitled to difficult content as they are paying customers and it's simply what they want and are looking for." needs to be changed to: "waited for more than two years for challenging content which provides some solo play and some group-encouraged play in various zones of this mmo - JUST LIKE ZENI's FORWARD ADVERTISING AND PROMO'S SAID THEY WOULD.

As I stated in another thread, I think a good fix for this that may please every one instead of nerfing the Vet enemies would be to give us back our attribute points we should have earned when leveling up in Vet and create increases in our chosen skill levels that can only be accessed when we hit Vet levels and continue to make available increases every 3 levels in Vet which would give options for ALL players and allow us to spend the skillpoints we gain from finding the skyshards.

For those that like things more difficult, they can keep their characters as is, while those that need the boost to even things up, they can spend the points.

But the fact that there is such a huge difference between a players vs an enemies same skill (250+/- for the player, 700+ for the enemy) means that this is most likely the area that needs to be worked on.

Players should not feel forced to change their skill sets in order to advance in the game. That's not playing your character how you want.
Far too many characters to list any more.

I think the problem is that certain builds aren't strong enough not that the mobs are too strong.

More rewards and incentive to make you feel more inclined to get that next rank absolutely 100% agree. I've said a million times that the problem is the carrot not the stick.

No. Dont nerf the mobs. Add proper character advancement for VR ranks instead. 2 birds with 1 stone. Players get short term goals, something to look forward to while leveling and the mobs become more manageable without nerfing them.

This. Seriously, what the hell man. Leveling a Veteran Rank gives you NOTHING to enjoy. Nothing at all. Just new gear to wear that's really not all that great and a level difference over other people in PvP (which is moot) and a level difference of resistance in PvE (also moot, sort of).

If you gave players even specs and builds (so you know, a player can logically enjoy this game the same as the other guy, i.e Templar vs. Dragonknight, etc) and made it so leveling went by just a wee bit faster AND was rewarding? I think you'd have a game that wasn't dying anymore but instead flying by the seat of it's pants.

Come on ZoS, you gotta admit, this game is not doing as well as it could be doing.

I just made it to Cadwell's Gold and went for some shards to get some skills and morphs. I did decide to check out the other maps, so I made my way to vet10 area and thought I was in Craglorn, holy cow these dudes bit my wee wee hard! I'm A NB so I can skate through most of them if not all but I didn't do any of the quests yet so I could see a problem there and I'm V11 atm.
