Haha. Go play gw2 if you have not already & deal with the dungeon trolls.

I guess I asked this question cause of a couple reasons.

    Im seeing a big pattern;

    1. too many serious no fun players.(come on people its a game, fun is the key)
    2. Everyone solo seems very courteous and the main reason for being solo is to not hinder anyone else's game.
    3. Sorry to through this one out there, but there are alot of us that pay to play a solo, one player game.

So I ask, (since Im a solo player as well) is there a way to be in a group but still play your normal slow take my time game and not effect any of the group.(play solo but still in a group)

We sould make a mr.nice guy group where if you say anything other than, np, great job, we'll get it next time and that was a blast, etc... Your gone.

Personally every group Ive make and left has been really nice, Ive spent over an hour on a dungeon with people and we just figure it out not blame anyone at all and Ive had fun everytime. :-)
Well, one of biggest issues with group is phasing issues - it's extremely annoying when, say, my groupmate picks a certain choice in conversation which decides the fate of NPC and my quest happily jump up to grab his update. While I wanted to make a DIFFERENT choice perhaps.

That one's on game, the other one is indeed on players. Which is why I still haven't run the remaining vet dungeons. I used to be in really awesome group where we asked each other who wanted the chest before the dungeon chest update and never blamed anyone even after dying for 30th time in a dungeon(that was vet Spindle at vet 2). We also didn't mind if one of us had to randomly afk for 10 mins in the middle of the dungeon. Stuff happens, why not just be nice about it? Then they quit, unfortunately, but I cannot imagine running with a PUG now, after I know how cool it can be. I want people I like, trust and will actually want to keep up.

I've been considering trying to make some ubernice guild in game but I'm not sure I'm social enough to manage that xD

Well since VR zones are dead now, I guess that makes me a solo player.

I have a few alts but my main and favourite is the one I have been playing grouped together with a friend right from the start. We are both level 37 now and it has been a lot of fun. Much more so than playing alone - even though this is the first MMO ever for both of us (and I've played all ES solo games since Morrowind). Of course we need to do the main and guild quests on our own but all else we have managed to do together. We also have a regular group of 4 for the group dungeons. A "proper" group with a tank, a healer and two damage dealers, I guess.

All these people I've met through a guild I joined in this game. The guild itself has become very quiet, probably close to dying, but at least I've met some very nice, friendly and mature people because of it.

So I think this game can be as social or anti-social as you want it to be. But if one wants to make friends in a game and doesn't know anybody before-hand, it does take a little effort. The same as real life - if you want to bond with people, you have to be at least a little bit outgoing/active.

Not that there's anything wrong with soloing the game. I just don't always understand people complaining how the game doesn't allow social and group interaction. Cause I think it does.

Edit: And I would immediately join an uber-nice guild.

If you're skipping group dungeons I think you're skipping a Skill point too.

that being said I skipped at least half the group dungeons and for the most part play solo. I like to putter around and explore, where as a group is usually more fixated on finishing a quest or area or something.

I solo a lot myself, but of course get into groups when required. I prefer to go at my own speed.

100% of the time usually, unless in a particularly tight spot someone else asks me to group for that one encounter, however, I leave the group the instant the particular fight is over. By encounter I do not mean an entire dungeon, but rather just one fight. Otherwise I just hang around till someone else starts the fight and jump right in immediately without grouping.

I solo play about 97% of the game. Dolmens, World Bosses, Group and Public Dungeons of course you need as many people with you as you can get.

Once you reach Vet levels there are bosses (and insta-Healers) and stuff that you need another players help on and I am not ashamed to spam chat until I get some help ... it sucks but you gotta do what you gotta do. But I also pay it back to by helping others with WB's and Dolmens or quests if they need it.

But I prefer to play solo rather than in a group all the time.
Far too many characters to list any more.

I'm mostly playing alone, cause I like to play at my own rythm and not being disturbed immersion wise. I love to cross people once in a while when I'm doing my own adventure though, and I LOVE Dungeons.

I like to play the morning before to go work the most because it's very quiet.

99% solo. 1 VR2 char and 1 at 39. Have only completed 4 group dungeons ( and one of those I soloed). Will only group with guildmates but jump in to help for Dolmens and world bosses without grouping.
