Frame drops in Cyrodil are NOT due to hardware, that I can see

For the first time ever I saw frame rates below 10 on ESO.

Oddly, it coincided with Keep raids by a specific enemy alliance. Not sure if they are related.

As someone who thought it might be PC based, I was wrong, because it is not due to lack of GPU/PC. Closing the client completely, and relogging resolved it, for a while.

It has all the hallmarks of a memory leak, yet I'm not yet convinced that it is...

I believe it is actually to do with hardware, but more specifically how the new graphics additions to 1.2.3 are handled with a specific range of CPU/GPU combinations.

So technically it's both a hardware and a software issue. Some people have spectacular results from 1.2.3 and many have exactly the same as you and I.

    sadface.

I've only been in Cyrodiil one night since the patch. I was fine until I dropped a trebuchet. Then the FPS got worse and worse, I started seeing other graphic glitches, and the game crashed. I came back, didn't use siege engines, and everything was fine for me the rest of the night.

Other players using siege engines did not affect me.

    I'm running:
    Intel i7-4770k 3.5ghz
    16gb ddr3
    radeon r9 290x
I was running at a steady 59 fps with everything maxed out, but after 1.2.3 in cyrodiil around large battles i've seen it drop as low as 8 fps.

Its not faulty hardware, that's not what I'm saying. Its the software interacting with the hardware combination of the rig. There may be settings that allow the software to work again within our specific combos, but I have yet to find any.

"FPS Drop Issue: There are reports of FPS drops in larger battles in select campaigns including Wabbajack.

It staggers me that so many people jump up and down complaining about their problems being ignored by Zenimax when the briefest check of the Developer Tracker would tell them what they want to know.
