5th Place Overall, 42k gold for a three month long campaign. Really?...

Really? We spent 3 months in a campaign and I managed to get 5th place OVERALL, yet I only got 42k gold? What the hell is that ***? I could spend an hour farming and get more gold than that. This really sucked.

5th place damn must play this game a lot. How many times have you become emperor? Usually the top 10 people are always emperor some people have had it more than 10 times. The score should reset when you become emperor, and a money reward.

But 42k... I can make that in a few hours. What a joke

I am happy with my 42k, I can now get a top tier horse and feed it.

The only better reward would have been maybe 100k Alliance Points for winning.

BTW first place is same... in fact top 200 gets 42K at least too.

I like gold, at least it will pay for the respec I have to get now. Pretty bland reward though. 90 days is a long time and it would have been cool to get something interesting. First place should have gotten something better than gold too..

PvP Rewards = Grouping with friends to kill dudes, take stuff and hopefully provoke an angry forum post. AvA-style PvP is fun

As for the gold, I got 20k, and I'm fine with that. I view it as enough to upgrade another piece of armor to legendary, with some beer money left over.

I don't think placing should be a factor in rewards. If you want to make the reward xp bar longer than three so you don't cap out in a weekend sure, give it 7 more levels for those putting in serious time, but do not use ranking.

AvA is supposed to be about more than AP, not all tasks are rewarded equally even though they may be more important.

I was rank 20 something of my alliance and in the top 10s of my class, over 3mil AP and I know many have done more than I...but still 42k for that.

I got a mate who does pvp very casually, around pvp rank 7 or 8 and he got the same. What the deuce Zenimax ? Not even a fancy suit or title to pass the pill...

I'm not really surprised though, pvpers usually alway get the shaft from developers when it comes to rewards. Still though...3 months for that...LOL

With all the exploits and the likes that has been going on in first season then it is quite fair, but sad for those that went honest from day one to day 90.

Sort of have my sympathy with this, and yet not.

Don't get me wrong though.

The PvP in general is a reward on its own, grouping with people.. dying alone.. with friends... rampaging for 2 hours without dying... and so on and so forth...

Ummm... if you played enough to end up in 5th over 3 months - should mean that you had fun? Isn't that reward enough?

I always had the impression that PVPers get their thrills from face-planting other players. But 42k for enjoying yourself seems like a pretty good deal to me.

I was top 3 in AD scoreboard and 10th in overall inside Auriels Bow.... 42k gold.... only thing i want to do now is quit. I ll wait for my friends what they will decide, but i m half way out.

I finished top 3 in AD, top 5 overall on Goldbrand and only got 27k

Then you could take the same attitude to PVE and give no rewards upon trials/weekly trials completion since you get your fun from clearing dungeons. It's a bit unbalanced to be honest. A dedicated pve player will amass great loot that can be kept or sold at the end of most raids, while the dedicated pvper gets green drops that mostly go to the NPC vendor (except for the rare RNG crit jewelry drop that you can try to sell) and then 42k every 3 months. Whoop-dee-doo...

Now I'm not saying pvpers should get hundreds of thousand of gold, but surely there has to be a middle ground between "over the top" and "completely underwhelming". There wasn't even a fluff title, pet or costume. Just cheap, dirty gold.

Ye thats the ridiculous part, like i spend tons of time inside Cyrodil with vision that i ll get maybe some purple dominion/yellow dominon gear as reward for top ranking... I see now that if i wld just play pve and sometimes pvp my reward wld be same and on top of it i wld be gear full

(among other stuff that comes with pve playing like gold/mats/etc).

Atleast some freakin outfit!!!! But no....

Of course I've had a *** ton of fun. Ehh, idk. Very mixed feelings about it. On one had, 42k is literally nothing and you'd think they would give more. And on the other, I guess you could argue that murdering people's face off over and over was all the reward I need.

*** man, PvP is expensive though!!!

I've got one foot out of the door now but I'll wait 2 months to see if they add a real system likes Daoc's, if not I think I'll join all the other disappointed ppl who just pvp and just unsub.
They also need to stop screwing cyrodiil up by letting all these bugs slip through, the silver shard thing atm is out of control.

Back in my day (DAoC) people didn't need a incentive/reward system like ESO/other games have.

Though the Realm rank system was a lot better (no doubt the best carrot in any PvP game)... shame ESO alliance ranks are kinda lame compared.
