Breaking a stun...

In Cyrodil I will get stunned (i.e drop down to a knee and have whirling animation around my head). I press both mouse triggers and it doesn't break it.
I will regularly use Concealed Weapon to stun and people will break out of it. What am I missing here?

    well incase your a nightblade let me tell you a secret. we dont have knockdown skill ability like the other 3 classes have, and for some reason zenimax saw fit to make a class like ours (duel wield bow user nightblade) (stamina based) unable to break free from stunns and knock downs. even tho that would seem to be logical to all stamina based classes, zenimax saw it unfit for us nighblades :)

    Does this happen only in Cyrodiil ?
    Have you check your bindings ?
    Did you have enough stamina to CC break ?

    As a NB I can tell you for sure, CC, Stuns can be broken by NB's.

    my stamina is 80% of my build as is for probably most all nightblades. im v12 and i use stamina alot so it's as maxed as i can get it.

    I was asking the questions to OP.

    As for the quote, I trully didn't get it. NB can definitely break CC like every one else.

    Also "most nightblades" is a pretty easy assumption. I play NB and I don't rely on stamina at all.

    I have broken a çc before so it can be done. So it seems the binding is OK, but I will check.

    What amount of stamina is required?

    I think the other guy was taking the *** out of my NB rants.

    ive said it before and ill say it again. zenimax has no love for nightblade classes and im willing to bet it's due to sales and focus on skyrim type play to attract subs.


    i have never once broken free from a stunn nor a knock down, as i said earlier.

    I have secondary binding (v) for interrupt that I use pretty much specifically for breaking. It's quicker to pull off than holding both mouse buttons, and easier to mash if you're lagging or need more stamina.

    he broke free from nothing, he was unable to defend himself, which is common everyday for nightblades.

    you can clearly see hes doing all he can to go invisible and escape, hes also trying to run and block but nothing works, hes just killed within seconds.

    typical nightblade life.

    if you are stamina based like i am and all nighblades should be then you should be amune to knockdowns and stunns basicly by stamina alone because stamina means you resist a stun and a knockdown just like a boxer would. but in eso we dont have that.
    in addition to that we also do not have a skill like the other classes have to knock down other people. why not?

    As an nb I've pretty much given up. If zos think giving us more stamina fixes the fundamental imbalance between classes, medium armour and weapons there no where to go. Sure there may be NBS using light armour and a staff zos think this makes NBS viable. I will not do that as they may as well be a sorc.

    I will probably just roll a dk, good to have wasted my time playing NB.

    no way is that for me!

    i refuse to give up and you should refuse to give up also.

    i remember in morrowind that stealthed assassins morrog tong type dark brotherhood were basicly the most feared in elderscrolls. atleast thats how i saw it.
    in skyrim dark brotherhood sanctuary there was a sorcerer there who said some thing along the lines of

    "daggers and swords are not all that are within dark brotherhood, if you cast a spell from sneak you can do just as good if not even more then the daggers."

    i believe that this was part of the reasoning behind the weak nature and weak build of us nightblades in elderscrolls online, and that it was based on the idea that morrowind was old hat and skyrim was the new shiny type toy with the sorcerers and strong Nord type.


    im not going to give up, i keep spending time and study on my dagger wielder V12 assassin that can easily go toe to toe with level 40's and lower. i will eventually find some tricks and things to help, but in the end it does infact rely on the elder scrolls staff to fix us completely. i cant give up, and i refuse to give up.

    I hear you, I bought this game to play NB.

    I've given up in PvP for a while - a VR4 NB is not high powerful enough to compete with the majority VR12 players.

    and no, thats not me in that video.

    So....what exactly is that video supposed to be showing, I see a guy get knocked down by a javelin, and he has 16% stamina after, if the issue is that he couldn't break knockdown(stun) I don't think he has enough stamina in the first place.


    EDIT: my bad he breaks out of a stun as he gets hit by javelin, his stamina drops to 11%, and by the time he gets up again it's 21%......which is still to low to break anything, other than that guy getting pwned I don't see the issue.

    lol if that video was to show the issues with nightblades you posted a video of a sorcerer. The skill bar had the first 2 skills as sorc skills the crystal fragments and that other finisher they have.

    Atleast thats what I saw.

    Some CC i can break with the usual mouse clicks, for the rest I carry potions that do Invisible/Unstoppable & Restore Health.

    Love imagining the looks on their little faces as I slip out undercover and stab them in the side repeatedly.

    30 sec cool down is a pain but Alchemy is your friend as a NB.
