VR Completion Reward.... Seriously ZOS? (Spoiler)

Are you kidding me with the Cadwell quest VR completion reward?? A useless blue necklace?? Why could you people not have put some thought and effort into it?
For starters, epic or legendary crafting mats would have been decent. Even more creative... something unique like a special bound costume or motif. Fine, don't give me some shiny gear like a Legendary Stick of Mudcrab Slaying, I'm perfectly capable of crafting my own shiny gear myself. But some unique cosmetic thing would have been nice. Even some useless trophy that will spawn purple butterflies around me so I can pretend I am Sheogorath is better than this useless necklace. A shiny gold star sticker or happy face to wear on my armor is better than this....
Cadwell even says: "I've got something for you for all your trouble..." Useless blue necklace. "Oh... that's uh... nice... Thank you, I guess. I only saved the wold three times over, but with the 12 gold this useless-bank space-wasting trinket will get me, I can finally retire to my beach hose In Auridon. Smashing. Brilliant. So glad I died and rezzed repeatedly to save the world over and over. Not to mention rescuing your shriveled ass from Oblivion... but this necklace is nice."

✭✭✭I completely agree. The rewards for the Cadwell's Silver and Cadwell's Gold quests are an utter embarrassment. ZOS really should be ashamed of themselves for offering such pathetic rewards for completing the most challenging and time-intensive quests in the entire game.2 -

I mean after 50, everything I got from quests was automatic vendor bait.
And rewards for Cadwells gold reward was the ultimate slap to the face!
After being forced to do all those tediously boring quests for 200+ hours, saving the world three times by doing three factions worth of content, and the end result...the end result was an amulet that is worse than one you can buy off a vendor. I spoke to him and he's like "thanks for all your effort. Cya. Take this piece of crap and get out".

Esha76✭✭✭✭✭Yeah, I'm title person to. I made sure I got my Tamriel Hero title yesterday to.
And the quest rewards for this game are pretty horrible. I think I decon'ed almost everyone of them for craft xp and mats. In the upper VRs I have been running around in blues and purples, all crafted with set bonuses. My crafted gear is better than anything that has dropped or rewarded.
The only quest reward that I found enjoyable is the Dwemer Spider vanity pet. I think a little Molag Bal Princeling vanity pet would be pretty awesome. Worstluck✭✭✭✭✭Yeah when I went through it, they were both level 50. I just destroyed them. I've got to say reaching V10, finishing all the quests (not counting vet dungeon quests) the game has to offer, I expected something cool or useful. JessieColt✭✭✭✭There are a LOT of things ZeniMax could, and IMHO, should have done differently. This reward is just one example.
*Quest Rewards:
- Single Item Fail. Quest rewards should have been a choice of 3 items. If Armor, then a choice of Light, Medium, or Heavy. Ditto for Weapons, Necklaces, etc. We should have a choice.
- Quality. Quest rewards should be blue or purple bound items. Not green, or junk tradeable items.
- Certain rewards should be very unique. Finishing a particularly grueling quest chain should offer something that stands out above the rest. As with Caldwell's Silver and Gold Quests, the reward should be something that shows off your accomplishment. A unique costume, a title, or something else that says "I did it!". Hell, I would be happy with a mini Caldwell "pet" that follows you around with a pot on its head!
There really isn't enough in this game that is unique and stands out above everything else.
There is a huge sense of accomplishment when you get an in game /tell from someone asking where you got something and I really think ZeniMax could do far better at providing that to the user base.0 -
