Should vampires and werewolves be removed from the game?

I got this idea after reading that Silverbolt flamewar. Lots of really stupid opinions there. It seems that most of people there would be happy, if there were no vampires and werewolves in PvP.

Right now, vampires offer very little advantage (if they work correctly at all, not sure if patch fixed their numerous issues). Werewolf advantage is low ultimate generation, if you take damage. Thats all what werewolves are.

In reality (game reality), neither of these have any cool factor (apart looks and quite miserable time limited transform). Both have much more downsides than upsides (werewolves .. I could go as far as to say, they dont have point at all right now).

So, since everyone apparently hate them for.. existing? I guess. Why not remove them from game?

Cause really, what is point of having two crippled skill lines, which you quite obviously cant use in PvP and either suck in PvE or do pretty much nothing in PvE.

So how these two deserve they place in ESO? I guess they dont.

PS: Without doubt, this game has one of worst playerbases I ever saw.

I disagree with most of what you just wrote here, and that last quote is very insulting.

Of course not. That stuff is just PvP QQing. If they didn't have Vamps and Werewolves it would be one of a thousand other minor things to get worked up about.

Developers make an active decision to include PvP in games. If they do, then they also have to expect this kind of non-stop complaining about people not feeling its "fair". They also should have the wisdom to realize that should NOT act on the bulk of the complaining that comes from PvP.

    Agree on that, obviously.

Thing is, if someone used their time and monitor what people actually do and how they play and did changes according to that, there would be far less issues. PvP included.

Given how they appear in most, if not all, of the previous Elder Scrolls games and players can, and often did, utilise the disease/curse/gift in said games, the obvious answer is no.

People will ALWAYS complain in PvP about something, because they do that for some reason.

Removing an aspect of ESO, a game which prides itself on it's lore, because a few 14 year olds can't 'pwn teh n00bz' is extremely laughable at best.

ESO does have a rather mixed playerbase, but that being said, the official forums of any game are normally full of... 'opinionated' people.

Why should they have an advantage? They should be just like every other skill line in ESO.

No! Absolutely not! I love playing as vampire - why remove my fun just because you don't like it? Should PvP be removed because I don't like it? No. Different things for different folks. Leave vampires and werewolves alone.

Seems to me that the PvP crowd are the biggest QQ'ers of the lot.

They should have never had any great advantages at all. It think they should be such that 9 in 10 players would chose to cure themselves. Vampires are still far from this state.

First off, not everybody hates them, some people love their Vampires and Werewolves.

Secondly, they are quite firmly imbedded in TES Lore, there is no reason to remove them, especially as the main villian is the creator of Vampires (Molag Bal btw).

Both are an important part of ES lore, and should be playable in ESO. Even if they are no good, they provide variety, and some people will want to play as a werewolf or a vampire just because of the different play style it offers.
"Different is good, even if it is bad", so to speak. Both afflictions probably need better balancing, but that goes for every class and skill line in the game.

I like you "[snip] logic" guys. So you add in game skill line, which would be played at best with 1 from 10 people, cause disadvantages would be either too great, or advantages not worth it at all.

Have you ever used your brain to actually think "why would be that skill line in game at all then?".

I voted yes because vamp/wolf belongs nowhere in the game atm. you get wrecked in pvp and pve group content. basically, vamp is only good solo and wolf is broken and not worth the skillpoints.

FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
    FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.
    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.

    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

I would not call 23 votes a very good statistical sample. There are hundreds of players in this game from very casual to very dedicated. The vampires and werewolves are part of the lore of Nirn and Tamriel and if you think they are not worth playing then don't use them. It is called freedom of choice or do you think that your opinion is the only one that really counts?

Sure they are. I know that probably cause I have 6 characters from which 3 are vampires and 3 werewolves. I guess not everyone catched that, but there is a lot of irony/sarcasm in my post..

I haven't even stumbled into either one yet. Let us not rush into removing them from the game before everyone has the chance to experience it for themselves.

Yes. The skill line would be in game for diversity and RP value just like the racial bonuses. It should have more or less the same value as race. It would also make sense in terms of lore since in the Vamp population was never higher than 10% in Tamriel. I know you liked your OP toy but I think you had enough fun with it already.

This is Elder Scrolls. If you do not like what the game has to offer, please take your subscription elsewhere. I hate when a game I thoroughly enjoy because it's made to follow the LORE and HISTORY of it's predecessors is cut dowm to utter crap cause people feel entitled to have it changed. I hate when people are like, "Oh this is broken in PVP, this isn't fair in PVP, blah blah blah" Stop taking it out on the PvE and FUN aspects of the game (what the game was designed around) to continue in your e-peen battles.

Emperor vampires with endless bat-swarm are still pretty annoying. More so if they find a group of lowbies to charge up off of. I wouldn't say vampire is useless by a long shot. While SS might be bugged, FG abilities should work against players, both actives and passives, the same way vampire abilities work against players.
