(NA) EP Migration to AD?

(NA server) I have noticed a pretty disturbing pattern over the last few weeks of EP guilds dying and falling apart left and right. Almost every PVE guild I join dies and then I notice most of these people have decided to reroll over to AD because there is a larger population there and more guilds to join for activities.

EP (at least during my play time) is all but dead it is like pulling teeth finding anyone who wants to do anything (EVEN THE LATEST DUNGEON!)

Before I jump to conclusions I was curious is this something anyone else is noticing or is this an isolated incident in my "bubble".

Are AD seeing migrations and what about DC? Are any other EP players finding this disturbing trend among there guilds and friends list or have I just come across a bad coincidence?

I have been looking at guild recruitment forums and it looks like the EP has just given up I see little if any on this forum and especially on TF forums.

Please tell me I am wrong - I love this game and I love the EP > I WANT < to be wrong.

In PvP its the exact opposite. Many AD players/guilds have started rolling and playing EP alts frequently. Even me.

@OP it would be worth stating whether you are on the NA or EU server.

Hmm that's pretty refreshing to hear actually. Maybe things will balance out on there own over time.

Maybe this is "greener grass syndrome" i'm feeling?

well, according to esostats.com, which offer a vague, but interesting picture , AD population is 150% of DC and 200% of EP.

at some point down the road, ZoS will need to address the population imbalance among the factions.

Frankly, EP's environment is quite awful.

I don't know that its the environment it may have a little to do with it but not the migration (i mean honestly you spend more time in your enemy faction in this game than your own). I like it much more than the others. Most people I know that went AD said they did it because the top end guilds were going there or there friends were.

I agree zos needs to address this and the only way I could think of doing it is by allowing factions to mingle in PVE.

I would like to be able to do dungeons and raids/craglorn with the other factions personally... EP is wasting away.

agree 100%, this will make sure lower population faction players having the same chance to finish the dungeon.

Same... would love to see some cross-faction grouping in craglorn since there we seem to have "common enemies" and no longer fighting each other.

I personally don't like questing in EP even though Morrowind was my favorite of the TES single player games. I greatly prefer DC and that's where I chose to start my character.

AD was also the most popular faction during PTS testing pre-launch.

AD was the most popular during PTS, but all of the pre-launch surveys on every site had EP way ahead in population. It started to even out as we got closer to launch, but EP was always ahead.

I think things changed when they removed the race/alliance requirement. It seemed that many of the single player TES players were going to roll EP because of Skyrim and earlier games, but switched to other alliances when they could still play the same race.

It could also be that many of the TES players that rolled EP were the ones complaining about a sub fee and only played the first month.

I remember - but this is about whats going on now. I am looking at my guilds and friends list right now and out of the 20 people on (its still early) nine of them are rerolling AD because its more populated and they can't find anything to do on EP.

That's a pretty large number but its still not a large enough pool to really see if this is a big thing going on or if its an isolated incident.

I won't lie I have considered re rolling myself. I went over a little bit and jumped around from zone to zone and its a LOT more populated. I really don't want to reroll though because I have a lot of pride for EP and i have most of the achievements i don't want to do that again.

it is possible, think about it.

DC is EP player's V1-5 zone, so most EP vet can at least reach DC easily, but they can't reach AD until all DC main quests are done.

So when they re-roll, they are more likely to re-roll AD to check the zone.

If true, DC players will more likely re-roll EP, while AD players will more likely to re-roll DC.
