The Argent Guard is comprised of scattered Imperial refugees fleeing their beleaguered province, Cyrodiil, mustering on distant fields under the banners of foreign factions united by the monumental quest to restore a pure Imperial to the Ruby Throne. Their numbers are bolstered
by numerous non-Imperials who once lived and served in Cyrodiil and have come to adopt the Cyrodilic way of life.
Led by former watchmen and soldiers of Cyrodiil, the Guard draws those to its cause those who would see Cyrodiil restored to Imperial rule and bring down Mannimarco and his puppet, High Chancellor Abnur Tharn. The Guard takes its inspiration from the command structure of the original Imperial Legion under the Reman and Akaviri systems in order to ensure cohesion and efficiency within the ranks.
The Argent Guard was formed March 17th, 2014. While just starting out, the guild was born from close friendship that has prevailed for ten years. We wish to grow our group of friends into a strong tight-knit community and form relationships that will last as we blaze a trail through Tamriel and on to the Imperial City itself.
The foundation of The Argent Guard is based on the desire to provide a "casual-core" approach to The Elder Scrolls: Online, seeking to promote community spirit without sacrificing personal achievement. Establishing the tools for rewarding PvE, PvP, RP, and crafting efforts for the membership is the foremost priority. We believe this should not require extensive policies or rules governing how one plays as long as it is in the spirit respect, cooperation, and community.
Beyond that, we wish to create a unique Imperial style for those passionate about what it means to be Imperial in this time period with so much potential for exploration and imagination. We wish to foster a fertile roleplay environment for such enthusiasts who seek to explore their inner Imperial while retaining the characteristic policy of allowing non-Imperials to serve alongside. All should have the opportunity to develop and contribute to the Guard's lore. Working under the mechanic of serving the Daggerfall Covenant should not, in our opinion, restrict roleplay potential, and conversely should not restrict the options of who play with us.

The Argent Guard continues to grow! Our emphasis in the past week has been on finding newcomers who want others within their community to level and socialize with.
Though we still have a core of veterans who have been with us since launch, we have taken in dozens of newer members who have been grouping and hanging out...the energy and activity level has been great! In addition to PVP and dungeon events, we still offer RP for those interested!

We've had several new members join this week and have had many a busy evening answering questions and socializing!
We've been scheduling weekly RP and have taken in several RP veterans this week. We also have weekly dungeon delves and impromptu PVP forays!0 -
Although at this time we are focusing on recruitment and getting members leveled up, we are still offering three weekly events. As we grow as a guild these will expand into more specialized events.
Wednesdays at 8:30pm EDT: Guild-centered RP led by ProtectorMaji.
Thursdays at 8pm EDT : Guild Dungeon Runs led by Jinxie.
Saturdays at 8pm EDT : Guild PVP / Cyrodiil Skyshards & Dungeons led by Jinxie.0 -
We've taken in dozens of new members and are getting stronger turnouts for our weekly PVP runs as people get acclimated with the guild and each other.
Though PVE has been limited to dungeon runs, we have had many veteran rank members join, as well as newcomers who have a lot of experience raiding in other MMORPGs. We expect to be able to participate in endgame content soon and this is a great time to make your mark or even lead your own events.
We've also had stronger turnout for scheduled RP events, as well as unscheduled RP. Some outstanding veteran RPers from the Order of Aequitas have joined our ranks and have been great to RP with! They've also brought additional expertise in for PVE and PVP endgame.

We're starting to look at RP events that can tie our members with those from other RP guilds who have joined us! A specific event we have in the works is a Tournament with the Sixth Legion.

This tournament needs your help! We are looking for volunteers interested in arranging, hosting and judging these proposed events that are still subject to change:

A melee
An archery contest
A drinking contest
Horse racing
Foot facing
Wrestling
Arm wrestling
Magical contests soon to come as well!
