current vr12 tooltip:
Radius: 5m

Deals 46 Flame damage to nearby enemies every 1 second. Gain 13% Weapon critical and Spell critical against enemies in the flames. Costs 28 magicka every 1 second. Toggle to activate. (hidden ninja effect: magicka recovery set to 0 << don't even know how at this point it's not even part of the tooltip!!!!)

what part of this ability warrants it completely rendering your magicka recovery WORTHLESS....without this ability toggled on, i have about 100 magicka recovery

now, if i want a "pulse dot" that does 46 fire dmg every 1 second and 13% crit, i have to give up all that recovery ON TOP OF losing 28 magicka every 1 second?

how is this balanced?

as it stands right now, you have to rely on potting and popping ultimates to be able to keep this up, along with spell symmetry

my point is, it's not that great of an ability to warrant rendering a whole stat worthless

suggestion:

    Wait so your fix is to make it worse?? 100 recovery = 50/s making it 48/s and half yours now 25/s is -23. Okay your is slightly better but for massively less damage. but only if your magicka based if your stam based your getting screwed over hard with your fix.

    Flames of Oblivion works just fine. You want your Magicka recovery back? Turn it off.

    Now they do need to make Sea of Flames not suck:
    •Remove the "restores Magicka only if Sea of Flames kills the target" garbage
    •Increase Radius to 10m
    •Reduce the cost of Ardent Flame abilities by 10%-13% (also reduces the cost of Sea of Flames).

    Then for the Magicka frugal build it's a Magicka frugal option. But again, if you want your Magicka recovery back, turn it off.

    As it is now, it's useless, it makes for a longer time before you can move on to next group of mobs and it's not worth it against a longer boss fight. On my DK I do not have the skill on any bar.

    Ild rather the spell cost as much mana as it's worth, and have magicka regen stay constant. If that means it costs 150 mana per second, or a flat amount and be a "buff" type spell instead of a persistent aura, so be it.
