You guys are heading toward a bucket fail...
I started in late beta... haven't posted much mainly cause my user info got messed up and since it got fixed haven't really felt like it mattered much.
Honestly I miss beta. More things worked then. Now a lot of things are broken.
I hate to say that tomorrow my bill is due and I am not renewing. This is so disappointing. I can't even download and install the 'patch'.. why would I renew?

ZOS_JordanH✭✭✭Greetings @Daath. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with the newest patch. If you haven't been able to start the download at all, sometimes closing out of the client completely, and then reopening it will help. You can also trying clicking the "Game Options" drop-down menu and then selecting "Check for updates."
If you are able to download a portion of the patch, but then you get a "patch manifest error," I will point you to this KB article with a few methods on how to correct that issue.
As always, you can contact our Support Team as well and they can help you troubleshoot your issue.

To be clear, I have learned a lot about trying to get your patches to go through. The issue is ALWAYS when it goes to compile, not the download. I have opened ports, turned of virus progs etc.. I even learned that the updater/patcher has an issue with bridged network connects (if you run both wifi and wired connects on the same machine turn off your wifi to solve SOME patch issues). This time.. the 6th time I have needed a full and complete reinstall to a patch (which is likely what CS would tell me anyway.. dl it again) is the cap of it.
I don't want to leave the game. I don't have a choice and I am simply not interested in fighting your patcher so I can pay you $15 a month anymore.
If you get it fixed I would be happy to renew but I am no longer interested in downloading the ENTIRE game every time you apply a significant update.
Not mad, not trying to hate or troll, just done.

Well contacting support when having issues is the best way to get support but, ranting it here on forums and telling everyone you're not renewing just to get support is confusing.

ya because my computer singled out Zen and refuses to cooperate with their product. Oh...wait...no just this one because everything else works fine.

You know that actually can happen, right? There are an almost infinite number of potential PC builds and network configurations, and some of them only have problems when connecting with specific servers.
If everyone else is fine and you're having issues, that means that the issue is somehow on your end. It doesn't mean that it's your fault. Those are two totally different things.----

I've taken issues like networking and such to it's most base components to assure that things like that weren't the issue.
The machine in question is running an I5 2450, which while not the fastest pony, meets min req. (its running windows 7) Also has 8G ram, and vid isn't even part of the equation since its never getting the recompile done. (i.e. the actual game exe isn't ever getting ran..) Of course if I were to start a clean wipe of ESO and do a fresh download, all would (yet again) go fine. I just don't think its right to have to re-download a roughly 25G file-set every time they do a major update.
Again th DL isnt the issue... the recompile never completes... it doesn't crash (most of the time) it just sits there forever... as I write this the updater has been sitting at 93% of recompile for 7 hours. My only real recourse, which would be what TS would tell me, is to, yet again, re-download.
I am not mad, or trying to troll, there is just nothing to be done but point out the issue and hope that one day the issue is resolved with the installer/updater.0 -

Have you tried to turn off UAC? I was having issues with the Craglorn patch and after turning off UAC it worked.Basic circle of complaints on ESO Forums:

I actually had not tried that though the installer itself was ran with admin privilages, and ofc the launcher itself as well as the exe had been permanently set to run with admin privs. That being said, I tried it, no change, thank you for the suggestion though.
