Templar Skill Change

Now that Puncturing Sweep heals as well as doing damage, does that mean all the Templars are performing respecs to get the extra healing? Personally, I haven't noticed any change in the damage a Templar puts out. Plus, I feel like I just get mobbed tons more and have zero chance of striking back -- and that is at VR1. Now, someone will come along and say I don't know how to play and to just get better.

Well, I'm an average player and don't intend on dedicating my life to learning all there is to learn about this game. I'm not gonna min/max it to death or constantly respec to keep up with the never-ending nerf/balance fest to appease those that partake in PvP. I just want to play the game and not feel like it's rigged against me.

It would be nice if you could build Ultimate when you have over-leveled an area too. That's a major part of the problem. I no longer have access to Solar Prison because I can't build any Ultimate points effectively unless I use specific skills. To me, that isn't allowing me to play the way I want to play. It is blatantly telling me which skills I have to use.

Regarding your ultimate problem, you mentioned that you are VR1. VR ranks counts as level 50 as far as the level difference is considered so you still get ultimate points when hitting mobs of at least level 46, and you continue to gain xp against them.

So you should not be having any issues with getting ultimate unless for some reason you are still out in your home faction areas and not at least in coldharbour.

I am aware of that. And that is a problem. It is possible for a player to reach Coldharbour and attain VR status without completing the home faction story. So, when you do go back, the enemies are too low for you to gain Ultimate by killing them. It is a problem and should be looked. at.

Templars still suck, badly. Far inferior to other classes.
Regarding redistributing skill points, it's obvious that Zenimax wants players to purchase gold. There's no other logical conclusion.
End the tedious inventory management game.

Personally I used puncturing strike and before the patch I did respec to bitting jabs and other stuffs too. I am full Templar, don't play any other class because any other one has the versatility of a Templar IMHO. Now with Bitting Jabs I am doing over 900+ in combo (5 hits) and that's only on the closest mob. Now you can say that a Templar has became in a dps kind of class. As an example, you volcanic rune the mob, activate expert hunter, throw Purifying Light and unload all your magicka using Baby. I can confirm that at the time Plight ends and the extra damage is done you could have killed one mob easily or lowered an 8k healthed one to 50% and all of it done in less than 10 secs, after that, with no magicka or low magicka you can use resto staff from a far distance or whatever the way you play. I can also confirm that from purifying light I got over 1.5k extra damage. The criticals from BJabs are awesome and the boost after the patch better. I don't know why someone comes here to say that the class sucks and that it is inferior to the rest. I don't pvp for now so I don't know how it works in that field, but for soloing or dungeons issues, Templars are the more reliable class to count on. I don't regret the change I made to bitting jabs, I'm vr10 now, use 5 heavies and 2 lights, one hand and shield and resto staff. I can also tell you I can manage a giant of 15k health easily with the staff. Cc could be the problem sometimes for noobs, but if you connect your combos like you should you won't have any issues to kill em all 3.

So before complaining check the facts and learn your game, change your gear, use different combinations of skills, ultimates and weapons for each instance, respec but only when you know what abilities you will always need. There are already a bunch of people complaining for nothing like spoiled kids in this forum.

Regarding no ultimate gaining from lower levels zones, that is so obvious, please, you can't build as much ultimate in a very easy zone as you can in your level zone or above. That is a known fact.

When devs raised the cooldown on puncturing strikes or BJabs that really hurt the class, even I made a formal complaint about it. Now the class is perfect for almost everything, enjoy it!!! And if you can't please try to find a bigger vr mate that can guide you through it. It was difficult to me too how to learn to play as a Templar as it should be, now I am enjoying it full time and I have no plans to start another char.

But seriously, if you need tips about it just Holla, I don't mind, I like helping others to develop their game as I did received a lot of help from others when I started.

I hope this one helps you in the future. GAME ON!!!
