Werewolf Quest Disappeared?

First off: I play very casually - been playing since pre-release and my main is level 31 now.

I was bitten by a player at the ritual site back when I was around level 23, got the debuff and the quest, etc. But at the time the quest was too hard.

I read that you can still do the quest even after the debuff goes away, which was true. I checked back in at the ritual site every now and then and I still had the ability to go through the portal and make an attempt at the quest.

I recently logged back in after about 2 weeks of no play and found that my quest was gone and the portal was no longer there...

Am I screwed now? Is this intentional?

You will have to get bit again. You have to do it while you have the sanguine disease, which only lasts for 7 days. If you got bit 2 weeks ago, then it timed out. If you get bit again, it should reappear.

That sucks - I know that the quest lasts a lot longer than the debuff. I checked in about 2 weeks after I lost the debuff and I could still do the quest.

That's disheartening considering the difficulty in getting bitten in the first place. Is it still a real challenge to get bitten or are there enough WWs that it can be come by fairly easily?

I wish it lasted 7 days of played time vs. real time...

I can't comment on WW, but I got a vamp bite last week fairly easily, took about an hour of wandering about between the spawn sites, but they weren't being camped like they used to be, maybe I just hit on the right night, I don't know, but I'm guessing you won't find it as hard as first time around
