If this wasn't already obvious to everyone: The reason people don't pick the Crystal Blast morph is because the AoE damage breaks Rune Prison (a hard CC). This makes Crystal Blast useless for vet content as Crystal Blast doesn't heal or damage nearly enough to compete with using CC on veteran content mobs.

I mean.. the buff is absolutely adorable. But it also tells me Zenimax completely missed the ball on why people don't use Crystal Blast. Don't get me wrong Crystal Blast is like the best skill ever and was that even before the buff. But noone is going to use it unless they plan on never doing solo content past lvl 50.

Buffing Crystal Blast like they have... Really, Zenimax? Really? >.<

I thought everyone liked shards anyway for the insta cast.

I never liked the instant cast as it seems like it can't proc from the skill Crystal Fragments in itself. You might get a free instant when you use another skill, but you still have to cast another skill. I use the Crystal Fragments morph because I was forced to swap to it around vet rank 2-3. Otherwise I could not get past 3-ranged enemy groups.

So no, I don't even like Crystal Fragments. Not everyone likes it.

Yeah, I was hoping the instant cast thing procced from itself too. That was a 10k gold mistake.

Anyhow, I guess if you're soloing the chance to maybe get an instant cast after casting another spell is cool. But I'd rather deal some splash damage, since my brother tanks the mobs for me and burning down the trash is faster that way. The way we roll, CC has limited use and the knockdown from shards is plenty enough.
