If you look at my comment history, you will find my general thoughts on VR Content (VR content still sucks) LOUDLY expressed.
However, as I approach VR10, I must admit that proceeding through VR content like one does with 1-50 WILL make you a better player. You will have to adapt. You will have to stick and move (no standing still). You will have to interrupt. Probably cost you some respecs. Probably have to pick up a friend or two to help you out. May need to change weapons/armor. But you will become a better player.
There's the honey part, here's the vinegar:
1. Overland trash mods are OP'ed. Hard to even farm with a underpowered crafting alt. This really affects the fun of the game. This is probably the #1 reason the VR content has a rep for being tedious.
2. A lot players, especially like me, first MMO, came for the TES, and casual players with real life limits on their playing, don't have the time to invest in what I did above. However, I still would like some way to keep them in the game.
3. Phasing/grouping issue, along with the first one, is a top complaint. All ready completed the quest? Can't help your friend do it. Some things you can't group for which I think should be change.
4. Empty zones, it gets lonely the top: VR6-10. Finding an active guild, I would highly recommend, but "fixing" some of problems with VR content would help.
5. Immersion fail - the whole logic behind being sent to do the VR content is so thin, you can see through it. I find it a ham-fisted, lazy, sloppy implementation.
VR content (in its current state) is one of those things that (for most) you will absolutely hate doing, but in the future, will begrudging appreciate.
However, I just wish that we could find some middle ground for all types of players, and instead of turning into a plain vanilla MMO.
P.S. VR content still sucks.
P.S.S. Full confession, I'm only posting when I can't be playing, so you know where my true loyalties lie

. I'm so cranky when I can't be playing.
