    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exploit_(video_gaming)

    Common types of exploits include:

    Duping.....Duplicating items or money.

Lag and disconnection exploits.....A game with inadequate lag handling may let players intentionally cause lag for themselves to cause an advantage.[2] Similarly, a game that lets a player disconnect immediately with no consequences may let players exit a game without suffering a loss. (Shogun 2: Total War)

Geometry....Taking advantage of how the game world is built. Typically the goal of these exploits is to reach normally inaccessible areas or take unintended shortcuts in the game world. These are commonly achieved by going through walls, crossing invisible barriers made by the programmers, or scaling ledges not intended to be climbable.

Twinking......Taking advantage of design flaws in the game's gearing system in order to appear better than you actually are. Because of the EULA which twinking does not violate, it is very commonly patched in order to prevent such an exploit from posing a serious problem.

Movement speed bugs........These usually allow the player to move faster than intended, such as bunny hopping. Many of these have been embraced by certain games, such as skiing in the Tribes series.

Safe zones.......Places where a player can attack with no risk of being attacked back. This is often a form of an exploit in the geometry (terrain) of a game—however, a game may have areas that make players within them safe (especially in PvP games/zones where the opposing faction(s) may not enter) from attack while not disallowing the safe players to attack.

Game mechanics........Taking advantage of the systems that make up the gameplay. A game mechanics exploit is not a bug—it is working as designed, but at the same time is not working as intended. An example is the "wavedash" in Super Smash Bros. Melee, where the momentum gained from using a directional aerial dodge could be retained on landing; with proper timing this allows characters to use a stationary attack while sliding across the ground.

Blood you seriously don't get it. If you find a ZEN mistake and you "utilize" their mistake for your gain THAT is an exploit...no ifs ,ands or buts.

It's a very grey area. We acknowledge that the terrain issue is a bug that we need to fix, and are working on doing so as soon as possible.

No it is not and it's insulting to eveyone that pvps legitimately , that you're going to sit here and claim that...I knew you guys were going to pull something with this but never in my wildest dreams did I think you'd pull that.

But thanks for telling people that it's not an exploit to wayshrine into their starting camp and stealing their elder scroll with the gates closed and the keep still under scroll's owner's control. Thanks for telling people that it's not an exploit to spawn camp them when they wayshrine to their starting camp or load into cyrodill.

I'm sure dc and the ad will be quite thankful that you condone their behavior on wabbajack. It's a good thing that EP is ahead by enough that it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, because if this was a neck and neck score, they forums would be even worse.

Hopefully this one will take prority, since it's not just walking over walls; you can spawn at the enemy's zones. That's a pretty big deal.

They patched an issue with no guards spawning in DC zones that appeared yesterday in less than 12 hours, so I'm hopeful this will be fixed quickly as well.

And thats perfectly reasonable. Dont think anyone's not saying that.

But we did get some massive LULZ in while it was active.

That won't be enough... this problem is 4x.

    1. Able to use horses to tunnel through preety much all walls (including inviso walls)
    2. Some areas you can just jump up (example N Morrowind gate) and do the same effect
    3. Ability to Get to Starter Areas
    4. Abilty to get to Scroll Areas/bypassing gates

By locking down starer areas all you do is fix 1/4 (3) of these problems. The Scrolls can still be run back, and with the teleport zones active you can even take a scroll right into it (from scroll temple), port back to your starter area, and easy cap it.

Well that would definitely work, if by "kill zones" you mean a player entering our spawn zone/starter area would die instantly.

I would also suggest changing Scrolls in Temples so that they cannot be picked up so long as its associated Gate in closed.

This would seriously *** up scroll carrying if the gate closes after the scroll has been taken, given how adroitly @ZOS implements their changes.

Currently if you try to go back past the gate after it has closed (e.g. run across past the mages) you instadie - or at least you did before this patch - and that should be sufficient.

LOL even if so you can:

    1. Run into the starter area. DOn have to get inside just jump around a bit. You will get insta-ported back to starter area

    2. Wall Tunnel your way back out (although could be hard with a scroll/people chasing u ) ALternatively have someone you can "leap" up to in the safe zone

They already exist... but the slopes are not steep/are flat so you can just navigate them To make it foolproof you would have to RETEXTURE THE ENTIRETY OF CYRODIIL. Something that isn't gonna happen in a day, week, month even.
