Clothing - anyone selling crafted?

Anyone managing to sell crafted light or medium armour?

I can't help thinking that a proper AH would mean I may actually be able to sell stuff, esp at lower levels.
At least the spelling is difficult for you.

You need to find a traders guild, and join, then you can buy and sell with the rest of the guild, buying light and medium armour from them.

I'm in 3 traders guild and crafted stuff never sells. I don't want to buy I want to sell. There is no market as far as I can tell and I'm curious if anyone regularly sells crafted armour.

Oh, right, sorry. My Sorc crafts his own light armour, so I don't buy, mind you I don't buy as a rule armour (not even for my Templar and DK) anyway, because the horses cost so much, and I'm saving constantly, just bought two at 17K, so next is the 42K ones.

That said, I have seen people advertising for light armour that's been dropped, usually warlock gear, obviously interested people would whisper. But have also seen people asking if anyone had warlock sets for sale.

My guess is that with light armour the demand is for sets rather than individual pieces, even with specific traits.

There are always people asking in zone chat to have armor crafted. If I had the time, I think that I could spend half my day making armor.

It is much easier to craft by request than just make a bunch of armor to try to sell. People want specific set items and traits.

They'll sell if you make the crafter item sets, especially Seducer and Magnus' Gift :)

Here's a link that explains how you go about that: http://tamrieljournal.com/crafted-item-sets-eso/

Thanks for the link, I use that site as well. I do make crafter item sets already and never sold any even after advertising in zone. Also I've never seen anyone actually asking for something.

Sanctuary is dropped armour not crafted.

magus - do you mean the Magnus Gift set?

In LOTRO crafted armour sold all the time through the AH, I made stuff all the time and had a regular turnover of around 30-40 items a week.

I'm also an enchanter so can pretty much add any enchantments.

tbh I am getting increasingly frustrated having levelled up clothing and actually selling anything turning out to be a huge chore.

I like crafting but the economy isn't working in my opinion.

Is anyone actually regularly selling crafted gear?

I meant Seducer and Magnus' Gift. I'm not good at multitasking ;)

Incidentally, I came to this game, hoping to play my usual way, crafting and healing, without realising how nigh-on impossible that would be in ESO.

All crafted gear I sold/gave away so far was to people looking to learn specific traits. With 8 characters slots everyone can be self-sufficient.

Do you have a note alongside your name on the guild roster letting your guild-mates know how many traits you have in your craft? Requests for crafted set items are pretty frequent, though it may take two of us in collaboration to fulfil a complete order.

I used to craft traits on request too, but then I realised I was screwing myself by passing on my research to my competitors. If someone is looking for an item to research nowadays, I request an item back with a trait I am missing...such as Precise on a Resto staff (no one has come up with that one yet grr).

Dropped armour set pieces with common traits - infused, reinforced - I throw on the AH and it will be no surprise to learn the light armour gets snapped up pretty quickly, heavy is so-so and medium is no-chance.

Sub-50 content isn't exactly tough on armour and we level so fast we will soon have outgrown our gear. Which drops in absolute abundance. So it's probably a waste of time to craft anything but VR armour. Weapons may have more success at lower levels and, if you make them part of a set, you may get requests to craft the armour pieces to go with them. Maybe.

I'm pretty sure I have precise for the resto staff. I'm on the NA server if you want to drop me line in-game.

I will have my research done on Precise Resto Staff on the 25th (8th and final trait for that staff).

I am on EU and will be able to craft you one @KariTR‌

Wow thank you guys. I am on EU and will try and hit you up later Khenarthi (am making dinner atm) if you are on.

For reference I have the following to exchange:

    8/8 Flame staff
7/8 Bow (2 days left on Charged research)
    7/8 Shield (no Exploration)

Also at least 6 in all cloth items, 7 on epaulets and hat.

ETA: Sorry for hijacking your thread Martin!

I've got a couple crafters I found in my trade guilds and zone that I get my light armor sets from. I run two set bonuses and I don't have near the research to craft all the pieces for them. It is more difficult to bring together buyers and sells in ESO than need be. That's why I added the two I've used noting what I used them for.

I am in 3 Trading Guilds, but not to trade crafted items, but to trade materials.

You might try advertising in Zone Chat for what you can make. Like "Crafting 7 trait Med Armor, PST for details", or maybe "6 Trait Daggers available. PST for details" etc.

The only crafted gear I've sold/bought are rare traits for researching like exploration and training.

So an AH would be better then, rather than all this advertising in zone hopig for customers to be looking. It sounds like people aren't really managing to sell much crafted gear, which is a wasted opportunity.

Just sold 5 pieces of a 6 trait set for 6k (I made it cheap because the guy got hosed by a scammer a few minutes earlier). I can sell 6 trait sets all day if I wanted to.
