I'd be lying if I said that this wasn't mainly for me to show off my newly-crafted VR12 gear. But it's also a general showcase of the combination possibilities available through crafting. You aren't limited to putting everything in one style:
Looks alright except the pauldrons, they look a touch off to me.
People believe what they either want to be true or what they are afraid is true! Wizard's first rule
Passion rules reason Wizard's third rule
Mind what people Do, not what they say, for actions betray a lie. Wizard's fifth rule
Willfully turning aside from the truth is treason to one's self Wizard's tenth rule
this is lvl 16 blue gear - nord heavy armor set, orc heavy chest and altmer claymore
Worst that can happen is when items of the same tier have different colors. Thankfully, that mostly means not using the "rare" motifs..
Nice.
And once you hit VR, the colors start to become more consistent (at least from what I've seen) across all motifs. The main color changes come with quality now.
I'm not really that fond of dark blue armor.. but I think that the max VR will be increased again anyway till I get there, so whatever. Maybe they'll finally add the color RED.
So far the closest to red is spidersilk, and that looks like it was thrown into ocean and fished up a few years later, with most of the color gone. It's not even pink, it's some sort of grayish, washed off red.
I'm not very fond of that particular blue armor either...but the idea of combining different armor weights (light, medium, heavy) and different racial styles has been existing since the beginning of the game, as seen here: http://eso-fashion.com/customized-sets/
I personally do that a lot (really love the tribal look you get by combining argonian robes with bosmer or primal & barbaric heavy or light pieces).
