Horse sounds muted

The horse noises are very muffled and low now. I can barely here him even if I put the footsteps volume to 100%.

Also, can't hear the whistle when I mount him and the horse snorts and such are barely detectable.

Was this change intentional? Because I don't like it, it really messes with the realism and immersion.

You may have just gotten used to the excessively loud horse noises post-Craglorn. I did like the thundering hoofbeats, but they were a bit jarring the first time I hear them.

I'll be honest, I found the incessant sound of hooves clopping a tad annoying(Ithey were just a tad overly pronounced for my taste), but haven't been able to experience the changes you are referring to above as the EU Server is still offline.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

They are way too low now, barely detectable. And, I liked the horse whistle.

Can't we find a happy medium?

But perhaps I'm just bugged or something. I've encountered issues that make the foot falls sound muted except for sprint prior to this patch. But, this is different than that. The horse just doesn't seem the same overall volume wise, and you see your character making the whistle animation, but there's no whistle sound.

Im starting to think 50% of the patch included old files from beta that replaced the newer ones....

Pre-Craglorn levels would have been nice.

True, almost burst my drums when I first mounted up after the craglorn patch.

I'm glad the thundering hoof beats have been dulled.

They're not totally muted, but a lot of the hoofbeats that sounded different on different surfaces seem to have been merged into just a few. Sadness :(

I noticed it too, It made me feel like my horse was running a lot slower than before the patch.

Quiet is far better than the stupid loud ones previous patch.

You realize there's and audio slider for the footsteps if you don't like them.
