Concerns over 'new' armor drops!

So, some people have been complaining about the armor that now comes in creates and what not.

You realize it can be deconstructed right? You don't get anything but it's basically free crafting xp!

I think that's good myself.

On another note, can we please have a short-cut button for 'mark as junk' or if there is one please tell.

I have 50 in all crafting professions, I shouldn't be getting this kind of garbage in Vet Zones.

That makes the auto-loot-option for the game hilarious... for what i should use auto-loot if more then half of the loot is trash...

It is what it is. TES fanboys called for being able to pick junk up more like it is in previous TES games and they got it. Devs listened to the players and acted. Basically, it seems like fewer drops of the beverage matts we get far to much of to begin with.

Edit: Also, it's like me hiding my skill during combat and then complaining that I can't see my skills during combat....

Crap white armor drops are a waist of time and space. The crafting xp is so minimal it's not worth the effort or the bag space.

    • These items can be deconstructed, but yield very low inspiration and rarely yield usable resources.

If only they could be the only players to get the junk loot. Snakes on a Plane says hi.

Its a time sink for people leveling provisioning, alchemy, and farming things for gold.

The exp it yields from decon is miniscule.

    Try Junkee addon

If you want a very nice addon to automatically manage inventory (auto repair, auto sell, auto junk, auto destroy with a lot of filters) try Autoloot_X1

Can you please provide tested numbers for this?

This would only be true if they modified the drop rates for useless trash vs useful stuff in bags, packs, wardrobes, desks, ...

Pretty sure everyone called for "We want to pick up those swords we see laying around" which we then saw in the patch notes "Weapons and armor found in the world can now be picked up and equipped." which apparently mean "FU and your motif farming, we padded the lootables with useles junk to slow you down now, sorry everyone not doing that, but you don't have to pick them up ;)"

Sometimes I can be a jerk on the forums too right? :P

yeah i have them all at 50 but still from time to time i open chest for farm mats for cooking etc. ... so now i get more trash while farming for the things i realy need...

would be nice if we can mark them as trash and didn't need to auto-loot them... would be good for everyone

I loot crates for Provisioning materials, have you found another way to get them? I also loot all cabinets, trunks, etc. for Motifs and occasional Saphires.

YES! The bar has been set for the most trivial, most entitled thing to complain about the patch today! Level 50 crafters who none-the-less loot crate boxes now get more junk armor in their bags!!!!! Amazing!

OK, comment trolls--this will be a hard one to beat, but c'mon--I know you got it in ya! Maybe start a thread about how you LIKED your horse to jitter when you read your map? Too darn many confusing sort options in the guild bank UI?

    Oh--I got it!

What's with this: Removed the option to quick slot a repair kit as it was not functional.

HOW DARE THEY! THAT'S HOW I KEPT TRACK OF MY REPAIR KITS!!!

Well, it's not really trivial if it ends up being a nerf. Yes, I do consider it a nerf if I now get less useful mats to use for crafting and instead get a bunch of crap that has absolutely no purpose in the game. Like said above, the entire reason for this change was because some of the TES players whined that they couldn't pick up useless garbage.

Well, I ran around Daggerfall looting all the furniture and found 1 motif book, several trait stones and lockpicks, white food and drinks, one piece of junk jewelry and one piece of junk armor.

It doesn't seem to have affected the loot tables that much. Or maybe you are just really unlucky with the drops.

I had serious issues with addons last night and did my normal full container run before I logged off. Without autoloot on, I couldn't tell what I was getting until the end. When I went to sell, almost half my items were worthless armor pieces.

Small sample size, but even 1 piece of crap is too much with all the bag space issues that we have. I'd rather the containers just be empty.

So what your saying is because you hit 50 you should not get trash when searching through creates etc.. everyone else be dambed, because it means you need to organize your bag from time to time when using the auto-loot function.

Perhaps you would like a little golden chest just for you which will always drop a recipe, motif, etc every time... It could be like a vanity pet.

No one says you have to loot everything. I don't even pick up crafting style stones anymore because I currently have 200 of every type. The armor pieces are just replacement for the some of the lockpicks.

Why on earth would you autoloot? Its not as if it takes that much effort to click E and R. I'm getting more useful drops, not fewer. These boards can be epic whineathons at times.

At times? That is all they are in time, in every MMO game, with the most aggressive (and stupid) using it for their own amusement.

    what useful drops?

you got trash amour and weapons, and you got less green/blue/purple recipes, motifs, ingredient, solvent.

The number of items in a container is fixed, a trash armour will replace valuable items.

Not using autoloot opening locked chests leaves you open to be be ninjaed, that's one good reason for it.

You beat me too it. How is it possible that someone is getting "more useful drops" with this change?

I would bet that most higher level players use autoloot. You can tell the people that don't use it because they are the ones that are always 2 rooms behind in a dungeon due to filtering through dozens of drops from all the trash mobs while the autolooters are moving on.
