says maintenance is done(EU) but nothing is patching even through manual checking through game options I can hit play enter password and get the message im using out of date client

✭Just be patient. Them making this a 10GB download was asking for trouble. With, like, maybe more than one thousand active players, it will take time before everyone has the patch.
(See what I did there? I pretended to start off in a positive manner, then immediately proceeded to criticizing ZOS for their incompetence, and finally managed to get a cheap sarcastic shot in by suggesting that they have almost no subscribers left. Because that is how we do it in this forum. )
Seriously, folks: patience. For good or bad, they made this a huge download. My launcher hasn't even been told that there is a download available yet. I don't expect to be playing this game today.

Yes! You kind of hit the nail on the head so to say. I have a busy schedule today so have been trying to DL patch so I can go do other things as DL goes on. I did this because I knew it to be a large patch (from reading forums).
So! unless this issue is fixed, I will not be able to sit at the computer waiting for available DL and will have to try again very much later and then have to wait for DL to finish.
