How come Dragonknights, a close ranged class, has the most weaksauce buff compared to our counterpart, sorcerer?

My vr12 Dragonknight is in full light armor with over 2.2k magicka, my Molten Weapons will only buff my weapon damage by 22 (11 for everyone else), while on my vr2 sorc which has about 1.9k magicka, Surge will buff my weapon damage by a whopping 58 (insane scaling) ?!

You could argue that Ingenious Weapons is superior because you get a fire damage on light and heavy attacks but it stinks, the fire damage scales horribly and is NOT on par with Surge at all.

To make Molten Weapons comparable to Surge, the self buff needs to be increased to at least 450% which will amount to about 50 weapon damage.

Its a single target buff vs a group buff. They're apples and oranges.

One of them being terrible, while on the other hand we have an incredibly overpowered buff.

Single Target vs Group. Apples and Oranges.

Surge is "intended" to help Mages compensate how weak our weapons are when we aren't using Surge.

Molten Weapons, if it were "buffed to Surge level" then DK's would, with their stamina builds and 2-handed weapons, 2 crusing glyps, be hitting you for 7k damage per attack.

Sounds like you want to be overpowered.

So while they're at it can they reduce the duration by about 40 seconds, and make it affect only the caster and not the group?

You really ought to be glad you have the ability to raise your weapon damage at all... much less doing it for others.. and with such a long duration.

    Homogonization is bad.

lol nah man for many reasons you are wrong. First surge last close to 1/4 the time that molten weapons does and secondly it effects all your allies within range so comparing the dps boost over the the length of the buff Molten weapons adds alot more to the table if you were in a dungeon or doing anything with a group, not to mention DK is arguably the best class in the game already so are you really gonna complain dude like comeon lol

All your worries can be laid to rest with a simple fix. Change the morph Molten Armaments to increase the weapon damage buff by 450%, reduce the duration and remove the group buff. There, now we have something comparable in power.

And what does Dragonknights have that amazingly makes us do more damage with our weapon abilities? Nope, no passives that magically increases weapon damage.
