Werewolf change in patch notes a complete lie.

Devour: We have removed the cooldown period for this ability. You can use Devour only once per corpse.

this is a flat out lie. It is still in game and at least 5-10 seconds long....

it has at best been shortened a few seconds.....

The truth is extremely easy for anyone to test... just go WW, kill something and feed, then kill something nearby and feed... it should only take a second to kill the second.. and chances are you wont be able to feed right away like you could on the first due to this Obviously not removed delay...

if you are going to make changes to stuff in game, dont outright lie about what those changes are ZOS...

its just insulting....

Its worse now..

I honestly don't think ZOS could give a single **** about Werewolves. The amount of threads without an Admin/Dev response and the private messages I have sent (Quite a bit to say the least) without a response pretty much proves that. The Patch 1.2.3 Known Issues list recently got updated with this wonderful bit >> (took them 3 weeks to even add this "update" on the status of the issue mind you):
Below is a list of known issues for patch v1.2.3. Many of these are directly from your feedback and reports in-game and here on the official forums. Others are things we were working on before patch v1.2.3 and will roll out a fix for soon.
.........
.........
  • Werewolf Devour: This ability reportedly still has a cooldown.
    • STATUS: This was caused by confusion from the patch notes - Devour can be used every 20 seconds, and previously had a cooldown that was much higher than intended.
The 1.2.3 patch notes CLEARLY state:
  • Werewolf
    • General: Fixed an issue so transforming out of werewolf form when you are crowd-controlled will no longer break your light and heavy attacks.
    • Devour: We have removed the cooldown period for this ability. You can use Devour only once per corpse.
There is no confusion about that, it's clear as day what that means. So as I stated, ZOS is showing they don't give a damn about Werewolves. Instead of fixing the issue, or admitting that they couldn't/didn't put the fixes through, they'll just call us stupid and say we got confused by the patch notes.

there is no denying it now...

I don't think it is specifically an intentional lie.

    More like:

    * Dev 'A' puts in WW change
    * Dev 'B' does the build without the change
    * Nobody tests in the final build
    * Manager 'X' pushes out the patch
    * Manager 'Z' declares "Mission Accomplished"

    Players have fun.

I would not go so far as to say it is a lie. How about bug. Report it in game. The accusatory tone you take will not expedite the issue getting resolved.

Usually in a development process there is QA. These people test the patched game and anything on their change log is specifically tested to make sure it works before the update to the game is pushed out. This should have been on the QA list but obviously wasn't or it wasn't tested all that well.

I do QA in my job. I love it. It's a great job for a guy like me. If you are hiring Zenimax, let me know...

By any chance is the Vampires Feed ability working or is it also broken?

I reinstated my sub based on these patch notes. I canceled again today after trying them out in game finding them to be lies.

Good show Zenimax I am done. My word of mouth for ESO will be severely negative. Hopefully a few months down the line it will be worth coming back to take a look but at thsi rate I severely doubt it.

EDIT: Werewolf howl is also affected by the CC change btw. Works once, Never again on same enemies. On top of WW getting eaten alive by Poison damage in PVP, which you buffed.

So not only did you not buff the WW, You massively nerfed it too.

So what about logging in and trying them out changed your mind? It is hard to tell based on your initial statement of resubbing because of the patch and now quitting again because of the patch. Contradictory without elaboration.

It's pretty clear just by reading these forums that a lot of the "fixes" listed don't work at all. This is pretty bad. Not the first time I have seen it but the games I saw this happen in didn't last long. ESO will likely survive due to it's name alone though so no worries there I guess.

    The Werewolf and Stamina buffs.

One of which isn't true, the other of which isn't effective.
Might as well save the 45 dollars and play something else while ZoS gets their act together. Hopefully in September things will have improved.

I am not paying them to alpha test the game anymore.

Intentional or not... its still a lie.

Ignorance is never a good excuse.

    Actually a lie is intentional:
*a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive

I understand you are frustrated and all, and I am sympathetic, but bad "fixes" are just that.. bad. It doesn't make them lies.

no, a lie is intentional, a mistake is an accident. Since you are calling them liars with no proof YOU are a liar.

i would like to call Zenimax out on this... Now they have offically gone back on their word...

They lied. They Fibbed. They told us one thing and did another...

Removing the Cool down would be the perfect starting point to buff Werewolves..... They should have implemented it as they originally stated...

but its clear that anything Zeni says at this point should be taken with a grain of salt..
