Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

If ZOS tried to raise the action in Cyrodiil, what's the best way for them to go?

a combo of all - plus making it like the other zones (missing quite a bit- harvests and quests - would bring the crafters into the fold once they experience it)

One of the obvious things to me is redo the slaughterfish in the water. It feels too much like artificial herding.

Seriously, they need to be killable enemies again. Allow us to go under the water, add water breathing spells to the new upcoming Spellcraft feature, and give Argonians some sort of water breathing racial.

Opens up new tactical ideas for guerilla warfare, IMHO.

The ability to get to the fight quicker. An NPC that teleports you within 100m of the most recent battle once a day. NPC camps setup along the countryside between friendly keeps. The ability to teleport to your group lead using a long-cast skill at the arrival end (think cyno jumps in EvE).
Ruze Aulus. Mayor of Dhalmora. Archer, hunter, assassin. Nightblade.
Gral. Mountain Terror. Barbarian, marauder, murderer. Nightblade.
Na'Djin. Knight-Blade. Knight, vanguard, defender. Nightblade.

    XBOX NA
Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

I like your idea, however I fell it would take away from some of the tactical points like bridges and the such.

Again, tactical issue. Can you imagine what it would be like to have to defend a keep with that in play? you would have an unimaginably hard time. I'm not bashing your idea, I agree that there is a lot of ground to cover, it's just that having to run to reinforce a keep or assault group balances the play so that people have a chance to fight for the advantage. It would be a huge cluster**** if we could just resurrect and port right back to our group leader.

a combination of less campaignes and a similar system to how Alterac Vally worked in Warcraft with there being things you can collect doing PvE
(killing mobs for leather to upgrade/spawn more archers when handed into the keep, armor scraps from humanoids which can be handed in to buff Heavy armor NPC's in the keep etc.) and PvP which when handed into an individual keep would improve both Keep and resources NPC guards as well as buff players near the keep till captured(purging the buff power to start anew) so that defending is alot more fun then being zerged hard and pushed out which happens 80% of the time.

also more NPC guards and a useful+working Merc placements that are 90% resistant to AoE damage so they arent a cake walk for Zergs. we need to stop the zergs or it'll be complete repeats over and over
PLEASE REPLY TO ME WITH @dsalter otherwise i'm likely to miss the reply if its not my own thread

we need an alliance rank system that is similar to Daoc realm realm system. And we need objectives that small man groups like groups of 4 can take easily.

If those are added the pvp would be much better. However, I still think one of the main things preventing this game from becoming an RVR game like Daoc is quite simply the lack of complexity in this game's pvp combat.

In daoc there was crowd control on different classes, as well as counters to different abilities spread out about the classes. This promoted grouping different classes to provide the ultimate synergy and the ability to effectively handle fighting against higher numbers without just spamming aoe dmg abilities, and it also gave the game a high sense of competition through 8v8 that is equivalent to what people want in arenas, except the 8v8 was still located in the realm frontiers and those 8 mans could still contribute greatly to the realm war

This game is just a bunch of instant cast abilities or single target knock downs. it's very simple, and you can see it was designed for consoles.
