While we wait, can anyone tell me why One does not simply play on BOTH servers?

Or anyone else who can answer:

Whenever I try to play on EU or PTS, I get the *you need to put in a code becasue different PC yadda* thing I have to wait for in my email.

Then when I come back to NA server, same thing.

Why is this so hard?

I have asked before - I would really appreciate an answer.

    Because my SSD can't into 120GB. (You need to install the game twice, but you shouldn't need a new serial.)

    meh, i have to agree...not a bad idea for future updates. But they have an update on twitter saying servers up by possibly 6pm edt. =)

    If some time has passed between sessions on the different Server clusters, it is likely that your ISP has assigned you a new DHCP IP address. Which will trigger the confirmation request.

    Just a guess.

    I have game installed twice.

    I mean the code they have to email you not a serial.

    Then why does that not happen every time I log in? Say after not playing for a day or 2?

    I've screwed around with some toons on the EU server on patch day.

    You just switch the patcher to that server, let it patch, then after that you can just switch between them. In my experience at least.

    Some games don't like 2 installs on the same box. That might be your problem.

    I do play on both, with no problem. Don't know what's going to happen when they move EU to Europe, but I'll worry about that when it happens.

    I've got tons of HD space, and an external dock. I don't mess around with piddly-sized DVD's any more.

    Oh, that might be the new security message thing that happened today. They won't be sending them out until after the NA server is back online.

    No, this image is from when PTS opened and has happened since DAY ONE for me. lol.

    (If it were about today's I would not be commenting yet, as servers still down :D)

    I prefer to be patient because switching servers will require me to start a new character.

    How about changing maintenance time to 3am to 7am or similar during the week? EST - This is prime time right now, we pay to PLAY during this time, not wait for patches. Patching should be done during low pop times, and there is NO way that pops are low during this time period except that we are forced to not play.

    Every other company that uses IT personnel has figured out to do maintenance when server usage is low to non-existent. What is so hard about doing it with this game? Can't afford to pay people to come in early AM?

    And why NOT change since you whined, for one due to that stupid identity error that keeps asking you to prove your computer really hasn't changed, and two, because we shouldn't have to install two versions of a game to play during our prime time.

    This is mainly bad scheduling, if they'd started at 3am, even an 8 hour window would have LONG been over.

    It looks like the code they sent in e-mail when I made an account back in beta. I sort of remember that message. Have you done an archaeologic dig in your mailbox for it?

    Fresh start can be kind of fun. Except here you gotta redo all your keys and preferences for each toon individually and there are only 3 starting areas. One if you haven't done the jail on that server yet. Kind of a pain if you aren't really in the mood.

    I play during 3AM to 7AM, so PLZNO!!! Anyway, most likely 7AM-11PM is the time the server has the least amount of people on it. That's why they do it then. (Most people are at work or school during that period of time.)
