I had quite the strange achievement-related 15 minutes or so in Cyrodiil yesterday.

I was wandering around and came across a Boss troll in a tiny cave and his buddy, another troll, came along and decided to do some not-so-nice things to my backside so I drew them outside for a little more room to maneuver when lo and behold some poison-arrows start hitting into the troll I'm slowly whittling down (notably, I play a Nightblade so it's not like I was going to win this fight, but I was planning on coming back after hopefully killing the first) and I start yelling (IRL - I didn't have the spare fingers to say this in chat thankfully) "Thank you kind archer! Oh, I love you so much right now" and finally the troll dies and suddenly those arrows start hitting ME... and I turn and look and there's 5 or 6 Ebonheart warriors just kind of watching me get polished off as I start teleport striking around like a panicked monkey in a bag full of vibrators.

So upon rezzing I am pretty far from where I was and wander over to finish up the quest line in the nearby town and in a startlingly small amount of time unexpectedly get the Chain-Yanker achievement or whatever it's called for dropping Anchor pinions, the one of 1000 quests completed, one for looting Chests and I'm thinking, "What's the chance all that's gonna pop all at once?" so I actually look at where I'm at for overall quests and I see I've only got ONE left, and it's in a cave right nearby!

So I pop the PvP support speed-increase spell on my super-fast Light Horse and gallop on over there and am working my way through the cave when, in the middle of a fight, I see an EP DK start engaging a group of mobs nearby and I think, "Damn, that's bold, since I'm obviously going to finish off my mobs first, and then I'm going to hop on this guy's back and claw up his back like his cousin Rolf used to do back in Eastmarch." But then I see 5 or 6 of his pals roll up right as I'm finishing off my mobs and instantly crouch and shadow. Somehow they didn't notice but I'm in a VERY narrow little hall and the first couple pass over me hiding at their knees' height and just sort of muttering incoherently "Nothing to see here, keep on going" and then suddenly nuclear hellfire smashes down on me.

Then I come here and got a notification of a forum achievement but strangely enough not for being a cowering little puss but for an awful maomer joke. Now I feel like a totally bad-arsed kitty again.
