temjiu✭✭✭✭Awesome write-up OP. read your notes over at foundry too. It's nice to see people pushing outside the box and enjoying what they do.
But i would be on the side of those who are cautioning you about your approach to "Templars can do it too". positivism is a good thing, and I think critical to keeping yourself going in the game at this point. But...
But running a maxed build, with all legendary gear (amazing feat in itself!), and clipping animations (a.k.a not a design intent...a behaviour that they simply haven't figured out how to eliminate from the game), with all this work... and your still not putting out numbers that even a decent sorc or DK can do with average gear and only paying moderate attention.
What this shows me is: one, you are very accomplished, so kudos to you! Two: that though doable, Templars, AND 2H, are still by far the under-performers. While you have proven to me that a templar can survive and make it to level cap as a 2h stamina build, I do not relish the idea of spending my future clipping every animation possible, and relying on perfect rotations and NO lag, and needing legendary gear, to do 1/2 to 3/4 of the DPS of a DK in mediocre gear playing an AoE build whilst watching youtube on the side.0 -

Apparently there are only a few of us here who have the cajones to try and push out our best without going to the flavor of the week each time.
for the future of our gaming experience here, we need to fix this.
our current situation with craglorn out means that over 90% of our population goes there to level up instead of what we all had to do pre crag: learn to cope with vet level zones and the difficulty that they brought. once u started to hit the last 2 areas with larger groups, many players had to rethink their loadout/playstyle due to the difficulty of the solo content.
now- we get ppl who are crying so hard about having to do any type of work to improve themselves, and are looking at what i am doing right now and saying "oh my, no way am i going to try that hard to push out more numbers, ima just go reroll sorc" when i literally used a 3 button combo to hit 550-650 dps on mage with my 2h melee templar build.
You now have someone who is willing to put in the time and effort to test things that apparently many of u are interested in.
Lets work together to create some awesome builds and fun play styles rather then cry about issues that our Devs are already aware of and working on. This is also the opportune time to practice rotations, muscle memory, and lots of fun theorycrafting. Here's looking forward to more positive interactions with my fellow ESO'ers.

once ur entire group hits a certain dps, for THIS SPECIFIC BOSS, its a pretty quick fight.
we bypass boss mechanics for this fight, we all stack up on top and time out and do a rotation of our dmg reducing ultimates, so our healer is able to heal through his aoe due to the dmg reduction the group is recieving. this means we can stay in the entire time and just blow him up
although i greatly appreciate your input and presence here, please try and keep questions and comments pertaining to the build/topic of this thread - as i would like to keep it clean for those interested in the topic - thank you!
