Easy Internet "at-a-glance" sheet to track/share your researched trait info

Hello everyone,

After trying several different ways to track my researched traits (hand-written, notepad, spreadsheet, etc.), I finally came up with a very simple to use spreadsheet, that is EASY to update, prints on ONE PAGE, and is publicly viewable on the Internet.

I put it up on google docs, so my friends and guildies can see what traits I have. Makes it real easy to help each other share traits, and make item requests.

Feel free to copy/use for your own.

There are mods on ESOUI that're pretty good at tracking what traits you've learned, whether or not you have an item that fulfills the research and even has a handy timer of how long you still have remaining until a trait is finished researching.

I made a spreadsheet a while back and simply print out a copy and mark items on it. I find it less intrusive to use a pen and paper while i'm playing:

And here's a example of how i use it:

Just fyi, that scan is pretty old, i have a *lot* more researched by now ...

@SirAndy I enjoyed the handwritten notes, lol. Are they character names on the right?

Thanks. I'm on that site now, but don't see anything to track research traits. Do you know the name of it?

Yes, character names and crafting levels on the right, known motif books on the left.

I'm playing 3 main characters, each leveling 2 crafts and each has one "mule" alt for storage.

The sheet i posted is from mid April, it looks a lot more crammed now ...

Lol, nice one @SirAndy. The alt mule seems to almost be mandatory for crafters in the game atm.

I'm using a phone app to record it all. It tells me what items I have researched, what items I have but have not researched and what items I'm currently researching and when that research will be finished. Very handy if you are just using one crafter, not so much if you are running multiple crafters. I have to use pen and paper as well so I know which mule I'm storing equipment I'm looking for on.

Research assistant or research grid ai, its called something like that. Very awesome add-on. A must.

AI research grid from tracking traits across all chars.
Research assistant for tracking traits you need to research across multi chars. A bit more work and you can set up different chars for different crafting skills. Only works on your inventory and not on guild bank.
Crafting Material Level Display to see which mats you need for which levels.

There are others for enchantments, alchemy and provisioning.

I use AI Research Grid. It tracks which traits you have researching, which traits you have/don't have, and which motifs you have learned. It tracks all characters, and you don't have to switch toons to check which traits another toon has researched. There's a dropmenu with all your toons. Simply choose a toon, and you can see all its research info.

TL:DR: There is a wonderful add-on called AI Research Grid which is basically an in-game spreadsheet to track research.

Thanks for those responses. I'm checking both out now.

CraftExport is useful to exporting your research data to an external app. That's cool. However, no print option, or any way to share the info with other people.

AI Research Grid looks very cool! In-game viewing of research traits, without having to run to a crafting station to check your stats. I like that. Still, no print option, or way to share the info with other people.

I'm in a crafting guild, and people ask me all the time "can you make x, y or z". Now, they can look at my guild notes, and from the tinyurl, they can see online my stats. That's why I made the spreadsheet on google-docs, to share my info with friends and guildies.

I'll use the AI Research Grid to see my stats in-game, so I don't have to run to crafting stations anymore.

You guys rock. Thanks for your feedback!
