Dear ESO,

I haven't heard from you in DAYS! I'm feeling a little unloved here. Do you really care about me? I'm wondering if this relationship is really heading anywhere or if we need to go our separate ways.

When we're together, we have a really great time and I think we could have an incredible relationship. But....

It all seems so one sided lately.

I have to hear from your friends on the grapevine, instead of hearing it right from you when you decide we're going to change things up. (reddit post on impending maintenance) I thought we'd agreed that we'd talk about things here instead first? I must say its good to find these things out, but I would like to hear from you instead of hearing it from the grapevine. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather hear from Jessica over at reddit than not hear at all.... well maybe.

Please, talk to me! Let me know where our relationship is headed! I really do want to see us grow and spend more time together, but I need you to talk to me.

    The simple truth is that game developers and moderators are over sensitive as hell. As someone who has spent a lot of time in some form of customer service or sales, I've been verbally abused more times than I can count. My reaction as I became more experienced? Try harder. If I was able to make a customer/user happy after they came at me with an extremely harsh approach, it made my day. These guys are just HORRIBLE with customer service. PERIOD.

    I've had a handful of issues that required me to contact support directly. In every instance, I received a reply (that was clearly from a human being who actually reviewed my ticket) within an hour. That is mind-blowingly fast and efficient by any game's standards.

    Now, if you're complaining that the developers don't descend into the black pit of despair that General Discussion is, that has nothing to do with service. Their job is to produce new content (like the content update we're getting today), not to validate every single "OMG, my class is broken because I died!" thread.

    Dude it is called damage control. Lets not mess around here. In any company it always lands on the desk of a single person to make the BIG decision. ZOS is not run by foolish people. They knew the condition of their product and looked around at the response's they were getting in their PR/marketing campaigns. They were also well aware of the price they were going to charge. They pulled the trigger and launched an unfinished/poorly tested mmo. My personal view is they embarrassed themselves badly when they did this. It also showed me by their actions they could careless about the paying player base , this was a smash and grab for as much cash as they could pull before people walked away. Question is did they do well enough to get away with it? We will never get the numbers so we will never know. People like you understand the costs of said decisions in company's where customer service makes or breaks them. You work hard take care of your customers and make yourself and the company you work for successful. Truth is with TESO the long view does not bode well and right now they really don't care.
