Oversight concerning new characters

I recently created a new AD character, but skipped the prison. I believe I looted every crate, bag, box and piece of furniture on the boat and in the beach area of Vulkel Guard, but when I ran across a chest, I still had not looted any lock picks. Needless to say, the chest was opened by another player only moments later.

It would be very nice of you to put a small stack of those in the container with the weapons and armor.

all you got to really do is go to the bank and log and relog and open chest and cabinets and do it repeatedly may even find a motif I did

I had the same problem with my first alt, a minor annoyance, really. All my subsequent alts went through the prison.

However, you could simply drop a few lockpicks into your bank from your main char so your alt can pick them up.

How do you not have at least a stack of lockpicks if you are at the 'making alts' stage ? :O

a lockpick is the bare minimum find in every dresser, nightstand, desk. I have no doubt you will loot at least one lockpick in the very room you first appear in your starting city.

Same thing happened to me with a new character ,lockpicks weren't anywhere to be found and I looted practically everything in sight! I'd certainly recommend starting in the wailing prison (for both lockpicks and an abundance of provisioning ingredients) or putting some in the bank as mentioned above.

Now I'm at vet ranks, it couldn't be more different my bags are almost overflowing with god damn lockpicks xD !

I have destroyed thousands of excess lockpicks on my other character(s). I was SHOCKED that I didn't have any when I bumped into the first chest. While foodstuffs from crates, barrels, sacks and bags are abundant, there aren't many furniture items or backpacks in the beach area or on the boat, and that's where you find lockpicks. It just rankles me that another player just walked up and unlocked it right in front of me after I had looted the entire area.

Adding a few lockpicks doesn't seem difficult, and would be a reasonable thing to do.

I was a beta tester... I've literally done the Wailing Prison dozens of times, and it holds no allure for me at all at this point. If I never see it again, it will be too soon.

Thank you for sharing, but the size of your lockpicks do not alleviate the problem.

It was a suggestion to improve the game for those creating new characters and skipping the Prison. I had plenty of lockpicks in the bank, but hadn't gone there yet.
