It's like watching a car speed towards the edge of the cliff. You can see the VR coming...but there's nothing you can do to help them.
P.S. We didn't unsub after 9 days either XD give it a little time and you'll join us.
I really had to lol you there, but a good one tho. It was a really good comment you made there! thanks for a real heartly laugh

NP it was supposed to be funnyas well as true. I know people use LOL for disagree since we don't have one of those, but when used appropriately I think it's a good thing.

Lol, the bitter responses from jaded players are astounding. The 'stop liking what I don't like' is real.

I used to think so too, but you don't actually get any profile points from LOLs

i think this thread is complete self indulgence tbh.
i'm pretty critical of the game as it is now.. but my first few weeks were very enjoyable indeed. I think most folk feel that way. so posting a thread thats a glib jibe at folk who have became critical now as if they have always been so is completely pointless at best and self indulgent attention seeking at worst imo.
still glad you are having fun. long may it continue
Seeing as she plays the game with interest and at a pace similar to mine, I imagine that's still a ways off. Hey, if I count my beta access I'll be approaching my 1 year anniversary with the game next month.Blackwidow wrote: »Day 9 and I Haven't Rage-Quit Yet! What's Wrong with Me?
That's like saying "They have been married for 9 days, and people said the marriage would not last"
Wait until the honeymoon is over.
Even if that's exactly what the title of this thread is meant as, that still doesn't make this a "You guys are all stupid, this game is perfect" thread. It still just makes it a "Hey, I'm enjoying this game even if other people aren't" thread. Of course, you also don't seem to see the difference between calling someone stupid and calling the conclusion that someone reached stupid. I didn't call anyone stupid. Smart people can still reach stupid conclusions - and in fact there has never in the history of the world been any smart person who hasn't occasionally reached stupid conclusions.I love how people equate "I'm enjoying this game" threads with "You guys are all stupid, this game is perfect" threads. The 2 are not the same thing by any stretch of the imagination, and confusing them is, frankly, stupid.I love how all of these "You guys are all stupid, this game is perfect" threads are started by people under level 20. I'm not trying to be "that guy", but at such a low level, I hardly think you've played enough of the game to make such a claim. This applies to ALL games, not just ESO.
Obviously i wasn't just talking about this thread. There have been others claiming just that. However, the title of this thread comes off as a sarcastic statement aimed towards people who complain about not liking the game. If you couldn't pick up on that, then i don't think you should be calling anyone stupid.

At level 8 after 9 days, I think you'll have fun for quite a while at that pace (that kind of sounds like a jab, but it's not).
P.S. Not everyone hates vet content. Although I guess around here that's the equivalent of liking peanut butter on pickles.
I rather enjoy peanut butter and pickle sandwiches!! Seriously....I do...it's my favorite thing to eat
People take video games way too seriously nowadays. My generation should not have used them as baby sitters. Instead of understanding they are supposed to be relaxing and fun. They wrap themselves in their game so tightly that they can't let a "I'm enjoying myself" post pass without having to make a negative comment.

She posted basically the same thread after 1 day of playing. So I think she may be a reverse-troll.

People post a lot of threads on any number of subjects on this forum. As Slash pointed out, I posted a thread on Day 1 praising the female walk animation (because, as a woman, I thought the walk/run animation in Skyrim was pretty bad). Today I posted a thread raising the quality of writing and the depth of NPC development in the game. How these posts were basically the same thread is a leap of twisted logic that I'm not going to try to repeat or understand.
But assuming that idea, then posting more than one positive comment about the game constitutes trolling. Really? So what I should have posted was yet another hate thread about the VET levels or another whining thread some other element of the game I didn't like?
This is a general discussion forum for a game that I own. I can come here and discuss elements of the game I like. So far, each of my threads has been different and I will continue to identify elements of the game that I enjoy and which I've encountered in my gameplay experience.
Maybe others are right and when I get to the VET levels, I'll toss this game like week old garbage. I kind of doubt it but I won't know until I get there. And it doesn't look I'm going to get there for awhile.
So you can get upset with me for not rushing through the game in eight weeks just to get to VET levels so I can come here and complain about what I think is wrong with the game - and the challenging the devs to change the game so it fits my needs.
But then which of us in this conversation is self-indulgent?
Blackwidow wrote: »If someone posted "I played for 9 days and i'm quitting", I'm sure a lot of you would laugh and say you didn't even get to know the game.
Well, this is the same thing.
The self-indulgent part is where you feel the need to post of TWO threads about how you are enjoying the game after just a few days. That's great, we're glad you're enjoying the game! But we also don't care. As Blackwidow stated, when people who barely play the game post up threads about how they are quitting, it's the same. Nobody cares.
IrishGirlGamer wrote: »No, it's actually not the same thing.
Let's try this again. Day 1: I posted a thread complimenting a walk animation. Really, how many months do I need to play this game before I'm sufficient qualified to speak to the quality of an animation that I see almost every minute I'm in the game?
Day 9: I've racked up over 40 hours. I'm at level 9. I'm enjoying the way the quests are written and the basic dialog design principles that been implemented by the devs in this game. I don't know how many quests there are on KR, but I did them all. I walked around, I listened to the dialog. I talked to the NPCs.
Are there people who have played more? You bet. I'm sure you're one of them. Feel free to share your opinion on the game. Wait ... looks like you already have.
Really, what does this post actually say? That I enjoyed my experience with this game so far. It doesn't say the game is perfect, it just says I like this element.

I on the other hand, do care, so here I am.
