Some players really love housing and the others just don't care.
Housing is not just having a house with no goal.

    Housing is :
    - More jobs (crafting furniture)
    - Trophy (fix the magical sword you win during a so epic quest on the wall).
    - Storage
    - Build changing
    - Role playing
    - Craft

Housing can bring a LOT of different things to the game.
If it's well done, all players could love it.

What do you think of it ?

Given the 'franchise' the ESO hype was based on and the large number of TES fans ZOS expected the absence of this feature seen in many MMOs .. and even coming to WOW belatedly .. was pretty bad IMO.

So much content can be weaved around housing, most clearly seen in my experience with Dimensions in Rift.

Personally, no. I don't care for housing at all.

This is great poll, it will hopefully show how many people want to live in this game. I personally think housing needs to move up on the list, rather sooner then later

This is the sentence everyone should consider.

Yes, yes, and even more, yes.

Elder Scrolls and housing go hand in hand. I've been waiting on a decent housing system in an MMO that has decent graphics since Star Wars Galaxies. And for ESO, I'd settle for any EQ/DAOC/LotR clone.

Ruze Aulus. Mayor of Dhalmora. Archer, hunter, assassin. Nightblade.
Gral. Mountain Terror. Barbarian, marauder, murderer. Nightblade.
Na'Djin. Knight-Blade. Knight, vanguard, defender. Nightblade.

    XBOX NA
Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

A staple of the TES. Would rather see this before Morag Tong and/or Thieves Guild. Also, with the launch of Warlords of Draenor, player housing will become a standard feature expected in all MMOs.

ZOS, better to stay ahead of the curve

Absolutely. MMO's used to be about more than just a quest treadmill. They were about "living another life™" with a lot of depth in terms of things to do, housing is a great start to accomplishing that. They can be again. We have the technology!

Nope. Even in Skyrim, I bought the houses sure, but other than a place to store my junk I never really did much with them.

We have banks in ESO, so the house isn't anything special for me. Its not like the days of Morrowind where you could actually move and place stuff easily anymore. Half the time I came 'home' in Skyrim any trophies and such that I place were lying on the floor or out of position anyway.

I would prefer we have to do a quest chain to get our house though, instead of just buying it with gold or being automatically given it.

It would depend on the type of housing, If its so that we can design our own furnishings as was in SWG then yes, If it is hook point and only specific types of furniture can go in one spot and no direction facing then NO.

You need to add Maybe as an option not just yes or no.

I think this is the most unbiased poll i have seen created yet haha. good job OP!!!

on topic: I would like housing but its not a must need. and to the people saying "every mmo has it why wasn't it in at launch" almost every mmo got housing 1+ years later. taken WoW almost 10 years to implement it.

The only thing I want if they introduce housing is the extra storage. I'd happily use the storage but I have no interest in playing dolls houses. In LotRO I must have had the most abandoned-looking home in the whole game... no furniture, no trophies, nothing.

I'd rather have more playable and balanced content, a properly working guild bank and a workable search feature for the guild store(s) before seeing another money sink added to the game ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.

I'm waiting for housing but I realize there are other priorities right now like fixing problems with the current content and classes.

Most of the MMO's I've played didn't produce housing right away, like Dark Age of Camelot for example. It was worth the wait, too.

i only used houses as a bank in previous TES games.

if they gave us more storage and keep the bank too then that would be awesome.
the house could store stuff i dont want to deconstruct so when im on an alt for a week i wouldnt need to remember what not to destroy.

but anyway, to me the game is becoming less fun to play week by week, and patch by patch; housing isnt going to cure that for me.

    just my opinion.

As I said when I open that poll... I'm not asking if you're just waiting to have a house for storeage and nothing else.

Housing means more quests, more jobs, more characters custom, more trophy and challenge, ....
I'm not just asking if you want a house in the middle of the wood and that's it... but maybe it's not easy to be understood when you're not an english native speakers.
