Currently leveling a toon (L30) DE DK with Light Armor, Destro/Resto as its apparently flavour of the month and I wanted to get an idea what exactly makes this so powerful. I have to admit that going through hordes of mobs isnt really a thing with standard. Can handle up to 8 so far based on mob type. ST Damage is amazeing if you cut animations. Dunno in how far this is based on class choice. I play DE in any TES game so I did never spent a second on thinking about classes
Edit: I am running with Engulfing Flames, Molten Whip, Unstable Flame, Burning Talons, Coagulating Blood, Standard of Might and Stonefist, Unstable Flame, Molten Armaments, Illustrous Healing, Mutagen, Corrosive Armor. I am shortly before reaching L6 with the Mages Guild, this is when I will give Volcanic Rune a shot and maybe level up Mage Light.
Edit one more: There is a set that makes your attacks having a 10% chance to breathe fire, dunno the name right now. I got that one (5 pcs). Any attribute points into health and magicka runes on equip.

The dmg output seems lower than I exeprienced with my nightblade+destruction staf. Also my defense towards level 6 mobs is quite disappointing they cut through me like I'm a slice of butter.

I was thinking of creating a Dark Elf Dragon Knight.
Using Light armor + Fire Destruction staf.
Mainly speccing on aoe and single target fire dmg.
Any usefull tips on this choise or are the similair builds?
