Suggestions for the future
I have been playing ESO since the first betas now and loving it, I have fairly few complaints other then the occasional dungeon that bugs multiple times. Today however after talking with my friends and guildies, I found out that the races are locked to the faction you choose. For a lot this is probably common knowledge and I feel a bit dumb for not realizing it at first but because I preordered the game I never came across the issue.
There have been a few other posts similar to this where players got very defensive about any idea of changes so I am going to try and be careful how I phrase this. This kind of advantage or limitation is wrong. Alright everyone calm down lol I don't think anyone who preordered should lose this ability not in any way at all. I think the preorder bonus needs to be added to the online store as something you can upgrade to. Or simply give the ability to everyone, to me it doesn't matter but I know to some it will.
My reasons for wanting this limitation gone are for my friends, they should not be locked into a race choice just to be able to play with the rest of our guild. If they want to play an Argonian in Aldomeri they are out of luck it can never happen, there is no way for them to upgrade and no way for them to come over as the Veteran Ranks are a separate map entirely and you cannot combine across factions for dungeon groups. If I am wrong in any of this then please correct me and let me know but from the amount of digging I have done I found no way to allow it. This isn't right, this takes an enormous amount of freedom away from anyone who did not preorder the game and if I had known about this at the time of buying it I would have been outraged. I hope someone with some sort of authority please reads this because this needs to be changed, I don't care how you do it, you can use a store and make them pay for it, you can simply give the ability to all players just please find a way. And NO allowing only Imperial to be on any faction is not good enough not even close. If anyone agrees please support me on this so that something gets changed or if anyone has news that they may change this or have any other suggestions please leave a comment. Thank You. I can agree a bit since I paid for the preorder also I certainly didn't pay for the preorder for this option though I thought the option came from imperial actually I payed to play early. You really wouldn't be losing much but if its a big deal they could send anyone who preordered a cool costume or pet like they prolly should have done to begin with. Or like I said just have them pay the same amount we did and make it a possible option.

Not so easy and is for several friends in my guild, I already have the preorder. Finding one ya you prolly could finding say 4-5 eh I doubt it and 3 of them already have the Imperial edition as it is.0 -
Another option that was brought to my attention is just make it so that at some point in the game you can switch factions personally I think it would cause too many problems with PvP but is another possibility.0
