Is this games update track just leading to a Console MMO?

To expand on my question, is this games real updated path just so it can be a great Xbox One/PS4 release at its end? Will it ever truly be a developed PC MMO?
The beginning of the words is ALMSIVI. I give you this as Vivec.
Almalexia, Sotha Sil, and Vivec.

Answer. In mid-development CCP/Sony carved out a deal to go multiplatform everyone is trying to copy it as a new market. Pc players got screwed from the start and continue to do so. There will be no pc development only restrictions to match up with consoles.

They will be on a different server so no console victims for you. Which also begs if they are on a different server why can't the PC version have a few QOL perks for PC.

That's what I was worried about.

Just in case you missed the news, they are working on bringing this game to Xbox and ps4. You can even purchase the game on PC and port your character over to console when it releases in less than 6 months.

You already knew this? Then why is it even a question that they are working on bringing it to consoles. Of course the updates and the game itself is made to be compatible on all platforms. Don't like it? Well there are plenty of generic PC exclusive mmo's to choose from. Consoles finally get one, and PC players find every little thing to whine about.

I hate the elitism. I'll bet my laptop crushes the majority of PC players specs (asus g74sx) and I still love consoles. Why? Because the bring video games to people who can't afford a high end system and they make playing them easier. You might be a keyboard elitist as well, but the controller is much easier to use, much more immersive, and much easier to relax with. It's a shame that each system has to keep their players apart for whatever competitive reasons, but fact is, consoles start many people playing games who eventually might join the PC community someday. I started on super Mario for super nes when I was 8 years old, and now I play PC and playstation. I am glad eso supports multiple platforms so many others can enjoy this awesome game. Thinking of PC only is very selfish and shameful.

I am adult gamer and have never owned a console nor will I. Dilligaf about your opinion? or that of any other? I paid for a product and expect quality for my work. Not that it is anyone business but I also bought more than 1 copy for my family to use. I will continue to hammer the forums here , elsewhere and use all options at my disposal to make my point clear. I will get what I paid for or until ZOS starts handing out refund checks. If that offends you or someone feelings get hurt in the process its to bad. If you get butthurt over another persons review of an mmo you got bigger issues.

    Short answer: 'Yes'.

ESO for PC has turned into nothing more or less than a paid beta for the Console release. Nothing PC specific has been added or updated in the game since launch; it is all Console related and Console compatible stuff.

I sure hope that some folks with MMO experience in Sony and MS are looking at this game though. Even as a Console MMO it is going to suck big time and is likely going to be as big a loser there as it is here on the PC.

Yes but most everybody that purchased this game KNEW what they were getting into. Minimal UI, Restrictive hotbars, story driven gameplay, large scale pvp.

There is a such thing as buyer beware, and there was little that WASNT know about the game before its release. Veteran Rank content included it was well know your 1 character would play through all 3 factions stories.

People knew this and game to the game to complain to change it.

You don't buy a car expecting a truck. There was nothing about this game kept secret till its release.

Seriously? How is this game not what you paid for? It has plenty of quality. A few features show it is being updated for other platforms, and you somehow feel entitled to demand it stay exclusive to you? Ok Mr adult. FYI, they don't have to do anything for you and grown adults shouldn't be whining so much over petty little things. Purchasing the rights to play software doesn't give you any rights in how that software is supposed to function. The game comes however they choose to make it, and your subscription only entitles you to use it. They also have the right to terminate you anytime they want so you don't own any rights at all. Your purchase was purely for access to content which does not guarantee satisfaction. Let that sink in while you cry about insignificant nonsense.

    It doesn't matter, really.

They can't support the platforms they have, and they can push patches and fixes at their leisure. Once they are patching on a console, their patch timeline lengthens.

You say you hate the elitism... yet that's all you bring to the conversation... bragging on your laptop? Grow up.

The fact is the game doesn't work right now. I could care less if they are trying to make for consoles. I can't quest with friends because of the asinine phasing problems, and there are numerous skills and passives that flat out don't work.

Every gaming forum has the same people claiming the game is broken, yet they are still playing it. I load it up, it looks great, runs smooth, and is pretty fun. Thousands if not millions of things in a game like this, and some people will find every little bug they can to claim the game is broken, but really, bugs are not preventing you from playing. They are only causing your OCD to come and place blame anywhere you can other than on your own ridiculous expectations.

BTW, you can quest with friends, just not on quests that they already did. And that's only for the quests that alter the environment. Most small quests they can still follow you and kill enemies. Your point is pretty ridiculous since it also has very little relevance to consoles which this topic is about.

"My game has bugs! Stop working on console versions and fix this now! Whah!" Reality is, all those bugs will be easier to notice when the consoles come into the picture because they will have a larger population to work for.

And every failing game has its apologists (a.k.a. fanbois). Stop apologizing for a sub-par product. The game has some major design flaws that keep people from experiencing the game in the more traditional sense of a MMO. They feel frustrated because of the monetary investment coupled with the time invested.

You keep countering others gaming experience when you should just be stating how positive yours is and that is it. You have no idea how their experience is and can only speak to yours. Using a horrible analogy (car/truck) such as you did makes you look ignorant and blinded by fanboism.

Its great that you think highly of the game. Unfortunately you are in the minority so stop trying to cyber bully people into your point of view.

Wtf? You must be confusing me with someone else.

    Now this really requires proof.
