    1. No endgame/tedious veteran grind.
    2. Only one viable build (light armor/staff).
    3. Poor developer communication for 3+ months.

I have been saying that since beta... Back then it was, 'oh this is the beta, there will be more with the full release'.. then it was 'oh can't wait for the first update' now it's... 'why am I still paying for this again?'.

I know that comment was for the OP. But a few more sips of Crown Royal sounds good to me also.

    Thanks I will.

Hopefully true. But this is a subscription game, and that limits the time they can take to address big problems IMO.

Just play the game. You don't need an over populated server of players to hold your hand. If you cannot find enjoyment with the current population.. I think you need to move on.

The only people I have seen fleeing are mostly the 'end-game race levelers'. Then you have to ask yourself, is that really a bad thing? These were people who completely skipped 90% of the games content to get to MAX level as fast as possible.

Once there, they complain that there is nothing to do... well, duh.. You skipped the game!

I see a whole lot of people playing the game 1-50. So its hardly dead.

The game has been out for almost three months. I'm not seeing where there is rushing as more and more people are reaching the same conclusions when they reach vet ranks.

Just because your pace is slow, doesn't mean that everyone else needs to play your way to have a valid opinion.

4 months later being in veteran ranks is not rushing to end game bud . maybe the guys that were Vr10 in the first month yes. but being in Vr by this stage of the game is average unless you just started or your a reroller

Didn't you get the memo from MMO forums everywhere? MMOs are dead. All of them. They're all going F2P, and they're all devoid of players. Plus they all have incompetent developers, bugs way longer than they should, and developers who don't communicate with players nearly enough!

...seriously. Those posts are in all MMO forums.. and since I read it on the internet, it must be true!

Eh, a bad endgame is par for the course with virtually all MMOs that don't start with "World" and end in "Warcraft." And even WoW took a while to get it in gear.

Yes but there is so much competition now. When WoW hit the market it competed with EQ and alittle later age of conan.

But if you are charging more then everybody else your product should also be superior. But it just isnt.

They launched a very broken game and a lot of people decided to not continue their subscription after the first month. I think given the history of MMO launches companies should include 3 month sub with the box price. That way they'd have 3 months to fix the early problems and have a bigger chance of retaining subscriptions.

The game seems unfinished and lacking a lot of features. Not something that you should pay a sub for. And some of the features the game has is pointless or broken like fishing could of been good, but is worthless and buggy. Iam only staying until Archeage Online is released as that game has a truck load of features. Then maybe after a while ESO will be a more finished and I can return to a game that ESO should be.

the problem is, the devs don't seem to know what kind of Game ESO should be. I'm not implying the devs that made the game and then got moved to another project are fumbling in the dark, but rather the new teams that are probably ripping out their pub hair trying to fix what the original devs broke and re-broke. the console launch will determine the lifespan of ESO (and If I was in charge I would delay Console launch for at least 1 year).

This oversimplified cop out might have flown a month ago but if you have been playing since early release or release and aren't in VRs or close you either don't play that much or waste a lot of time when you do. Either of which is fine, but don't bust the humps of people who actually expect to be able to play the game they paid for and continue to pay for.

Lack of content and bad content is not the fault of players regardless of how they play the game or at what pace.

    It's ridiculous.

And you might consider that a lot of those people you see pre-50 are alts and refills of people who have gotten to VR and can't stand it. I preordered early access but didn't really play until several weeks later. Levelling up easily half the people I did group dungeons with were alts and rerolls. And that was almost 2 months ago.

Fanboy gonna fan I guess, but this game, while it has a lot of potential has a lot of problems on top of problems and blaming how other people play has nothing do with any of it.

It is dead... to some people.

To others like myself, it's alive and kicking. I'm still enjoying PvE Vet content even though the common thoughts are that it's just a grind. Craglorn is a grind for me, and I've done some grinding there, but the vet content is fine.

Cyrodiil for me is the clincher. How anyone can say it's boring is beyond me, I find it truly exciting. I find it hard, as there are some truly good players that have worked out how to get the best out of their toon, and when you meet them in battle they are tough. I see that as a challenge though, not a case of taking my bat and ball and going home.

But that's me, I know others say it's dead to them, and that might well be true. The first 1-50 were no doubt enjoyable, but are the vet levels any different really? To me it's alive and well. Even playing with my NB in higher VR levels that is more intricate than my alts who are 'easier' to use I'm still loving it.

Vet content is not easy, especially compared to the 1-50 levels where my NB just walked through it with the greatest of ease, but then nothing good is ever easy is it?
Been here since Feb 2014 - You'd think I'd be half reasonable at this game by now...

    Why this game is dead:

I do not mean to be rude (well actually maybe a bit, as a customer we are not even getting a carrot on a stick, there is no stick or carrot). Why is response and actual dev implementation so slow here in ESO?

The list of issues is huge, and at this rate I would expect at least one patch build per one to two weeks added to the Test Servers with the main goal going live ASAP after short test phases - assuming you also test internally to knock out the major patch fails first.

Why do you not create a "hot point" locked forum area explaining your road map? Then when complete you can display your progress? Similar to the "Night Blade" issues post.

More than most of the time I feel like you all are not even aware of our issues we relay to you. We need better communication, better organization...
    •Urgent, game breaking bugs/exploit fixes
    •Class Balance notices
•World Balance notices - WW is garbage, you are worse off using it than not lol, Vamp bugs
•Gear balance notices - Stamina builds useless
•Magic balance dominance- forcing light armor/staff dominance
    •Inventory organization, sorting
    •Guild store search improvements
    •and the list goes on...

Anything other than "We are aware of game issues internally, please hold tight for possible fixes" this just does not cut it anymore guys/gals.

I have been a long time fan of ES, but ESO is making me hate the name.

    Sincerely,
A customer who is running out of patience.

Saul in accounting might disagree. Why do you think all these dev posts are happening all of a sudden. They finally want to communicate with us! What's the sudden motivation?

You also have less lag and can weapon swap whenever you want.

I really don't want this game to be thrown on the pile of recent failed mmo's but the way things are going I think they will move that pile to the side and dig a hole to bury it and then move the pile back over the top again.

There are so many little things that can be done between patches to temporarily fix the game. Many have been suggested on the forums. They just have to do the bare minimum to retain players but they don't even do that. They are taking too long to do anything and the game is bleeding more subs every day.

I have an alt at level 40. The crowds thin out in each subsequent zone. It's prime time on Friday and there doesn't seem too be very many people around to do group quests.

I still have to go through Cold Harbour (again) but I'm wondering if the VR1-5 zone will look as deserted as when my main was there before I skipped it and leveled with Craglorn anomalies.

I don't understand, if the game is dead to you and to others why are you here?
I know i would be playing something else if i felt like that.
Will never understand why people post crap like this.

I don't like what i'm playing i leave and move on.
Really a simple thing try it .
When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."
