Say something nice about Elder Scrolls Online

I just signed up to the forum. I have not played an online game regularly since I was 14 years old and loved everquest. Playing Elder Scrolls has been a totally positive experience for me. So I thought maybe we could stop pretending we're game designers for a minute and say something we like about the game from a more pedestrian perspective.

say something nice, 1 answer will do, and if ur gonna start a scuffle please take it to another post. lets see if this post drops to the bottom faster then my hopes and dreams did when I tried out Star wars old republic (for 2 weeks)

Something nice: I think the Elder Scrolls Lore is shining bright in this game and that's something I was really worried about as a huge morrowind/oblivion (with tons of mods) fan. If u play through all the quests to get to level 50 you get a crash course in the richest totally original lore in Video Game history.

ESO, now that I have hit VR it is rewarding me...with time away from the game that I can spend with my wife. ;)

Wait...that's not really what you had in mind, is it?

Ok, seriously, I love that ESO has taken a page from DAoC's book with 3-faction warfare and siege. That's a good thing, I like it. :)

I really like the aesthetics and actually the combat. PvP kicks butt also (excepting the bugs). Oh and the music - melikes with a light roast coffee.

The music. By far the best and that is saying something since nothing has been as good since Jeremy Soules Icewind Dale stuff imo.

The NPCs -- some of the NPCs are absolutely awesome. Raz caught my interest immediately which was my first hook into playing the game. Dringoth also comes to mind -- he is hilarious. Would love to do that quest line again.

Bugs and imbalance and whatnot, I have enjoyed myself immensely with this game, and I am still playing it. I don't think everything about the game is fun, and I definitely see some room for further improvement, but so far, I have found more than enough to keep me entertained.

The Elder scrolls story line. Other features in the game haven't kept my attention for very long. The story line overcompensated for much of the shortcomings in-game.

I'll even throw in another 'say nice' about eso. The graphics. The graphics in other mmos look flat after playing eso. But graphics alone wouldn't have compensated for the weaknesses in the gameplay.

I like that they haven't nerfed Vet content to the ground before I get to enjoy the challenge. I like most of the things in this game (I also haven't hit hardly any bugs or lag so that could be why I'm not angry at the game too)

It's the most immersive MMO I've ever played, with great quest, a great arcing story, and a world I want to be part of.

The gameplay has very real, very big problems. But the game itself is amazing, and I still have plenty of hope the gameplay can be brought in line.

ESO is a great game that has a good story for the factions and main quest, but mainly for solo only. If this game was released as a single player only game, I would have gotten a lot more better reviews, and probably be better than skyrim for how big this game is and how much you can do. The MMO part on the other hand is good too for people who don't play every single MMO that comes out, but bad for the ones that do. I had a lot of fun with this game, but the Veteran content needs to be rethought. For some, veteran content is too, and not because lazy, hard and slow. I don't mind if its slow, but I dislike how hard it is. I don't want it to be like a faceroll like how 1-50 was, but not hard where a mob of 2-3 people equals death where as most bosses will be considered cake walks. All in all, this game is great, but the MMO part will almost always get *** because MMOs almost always attract ***.

I'm happy that ESO will be a shining example of what not to do in other MMOs. So, that is nice.

Did I say that red eyed Dumner chicks are really hot? First time where you could get nice characters without mods in a TES game.

I was also a firm believer in the notion that VR zones are the best thing ever until they [snip]ed it up with 1.1.2 when I was almost VR 8.

They made bright wizards popular again.

OH GOD...please don't remind me. I had blocked those words from my mind (fyi my main was one of the 10 magus in the game lol).

ESO is very pretty. It's Elder Scrolls and has a ton of lore worth experiencing. The 1-50 leveling experience is one of the best I've had. There is some nice stuff <3

    Because reasons.

In all seriousness, there is some good qualities I do still like about the game: the musical score is the best of any game (that's fairly important to me though most let you turn it off), I like the idea of blocking and dodging, when it works correctly, and the environment is truly breathtaking in parts. The main questline 1-50 is highly entertaining.

In early access, I thought the informal grouping with strangers, as you happened upon each other, was annoying, especially competing for quest items, but now with patches fixing that, I like the informality of coming together and meeting the challenge at hand, sometimes without saying a word to one another, and then moving on. Sometimes, you can just wait a few minutes at a boss, or other challenge, and it's not long when someone will come along to help you it. But if you want a formal group, you can do that with the grouping tool, or joining a guild, or advertising for help in zone chat. It's that kind of freedom, that strengthens "play your way", and that makes ESO attractive as an MMO.

I feel the same way. Score and sound design is great, blocking and dodging is fulfilling to me. It's funny, I returned to another MMO the other day, and I found myself holding the right mouse button to block, but it didn't work hah.
