Character names on guild rosters

Do the account names of players who cancelled their subscriptions (with no time left on their subscription) still remain listed on guild rosters?

Or do guild masters have to actively delete accounts they assume have cancelled just based on the last login date/time?

You have to remove people who you have not seen in over a month and assume are not subbed to the game.

No clue but anyone with > 1 week since last login probably has gone the way of the Dodo.

One week of inactivity is too short to delete someone from a guild. Four weeks inactive status is more in the ballpark. But that is a judgment call.

One month inactive seems to be the general rule for a guild kick.

Of course, these days, most guilds will have lost 60% or so of their original membership this way.

And hey, aren't these ESO Guild Tools great!?!? Well, they would have been 10 years ago in 2004.

That would be really hasty, people go on holidays or get called away for work, or just take breaks all the time.

Likely true in most cases. There is a small percentage (like me) that watches the forums for the latest info and updates and is hoping for a turn around. I resubbed for Craglorn, realized it wasn't worth it, and promptly cancelled again. I want to like this game, but it's too linear for me at the moment. I had hoped to turn my full attention to this game, so I've still got some optimism left that the company has had their 'oops' moment and is actively trying to turn it around. Then again, I've been very wrong before...

That's because most guilds are built on launch day players who were only here for the one free month. It's time now to prune the dead weight from your rosters, those who haven't been on in a month, and start recruiting new members. A few guilds could probably even stand to merge.

OP, they won't delete automatically. You'll need to manually kick people.

That's a lot of dead weight.

Perhaps, though the true amount might be 1/5 of what it looks like across all the guilds. Guilds that were taking anyone the first week probably have it the worse though.

Maybe. What we did in Guild Wars 2, which had a horrible guild roster system, was after 1 week, we removed them and sent them an email to contact an officer if they returned and we would love to have them back. I can't stand inflated guild roster numbers.

I wonder how many Sidekicks have left the game. The guild website is a ghost town these days (as is the Psijic website).

When i get online, usually around 8pm PST, there's maybe 15 of them online on a good night. Kinda sad ...

    @SirAndy‌

I know, but there's a lot of overlap with those rosters. I was seeing 30+ the other night, and I have to go down the list a bit before I hit people gone over a week. (And one I know took an extended leave to have a baby)

I feel bad about the websites. I was on early and posting, but stopped checking it regularly. Its one of those vicious cycles, people don't hang out there because there's a lack of activity, and there's a lack of activity because people don't hang out.

My thrid guild seems like it might be close to death. I rarely see guild chat from them, only 2 others were active the other night, and the founder has been offline for 10 days. the guild pushed to 51 members for the store, then stopped recruiting.

That night I also got a random whisper to join a new guild. It's named after an anime, has little over 10 players, almost all of them on at the time. I agreed to join them on a trial basis.

Are we still recruiting? Maybe we can get some fresh blood.

Yeah, i know Jessabella is busy with her baby ... :)

As for the recruiting, yes, i have no problem adding new people, the Naked Nords sure could use some fresh meat.

Here's the thing...you can either get rid of them and keep an active guild or hope everyone leaves but you - if you're in a small guild. Then the bank is all yours! Woohoooooo!

Lol, two of the trade guilds I am a member of do not even have anyone to remove unsubbed members. The guild leaders and all officers are among the members that have not logged in for over a month.

Wow. Surely in the future they implement something that passes leadership of these guilds to someone else.
