Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.
He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

I can understand that. A lot of players are intent on the changes that affect them most. It's simple human nature.
I would say that, the simple fact that they are addressing stamina at all, is proof that they are a) listening to their playerbase, b) know what's going on in their game, and c) intent on making small changes over time to avoid completely breaking their game.
To me, it offers reassurance. Others aren't so reassured, apparently.
As with all our balance efforts, this is an ongoing process and there will be more to come.

I wouldn't say that I don't believe the changes are coming, but the MMO environment is not what it used to be. Most people just play them for a few months and move on, maybe revisiting at some point when bored with other offerings.
I really would like to play a stamina based melee/bow character to v12, and be comparable to casters, before moving on.
The games just dont seem to be built for long term play anymore so it would be nice if everything worked right off the bat.

NO MMO will ever work right off the bat LOL. Best a Dev can do is hope to work out all the major kinks in the 1st 6 months as there are always those idiots that take the 6 month payment plan LOL.

Melee weapons would need much higher increases than Zenimax will even think about giving them simply because of the downtime/cost of being melee.

I am going to be assaulted, but wildstar was a complete game at launch. Things are getting tweaked but everything is already there and all the classes are balanced.

Are you playing end game? Things here were balanced too while lvling

Essentially, first pass didn't offer anything to sword and shield. Am I right, Op? Is this your complaint? As with all our balance efforts, this is an ongoing process and there will be more to come.
Not to be the second person in this post to point out reading comprehension, but there is my point. Many are claiming it's too small of an adjustment.
But go to their Road Ahead post, and you'll see that 'small adjustments' are exactly what they are focused on.
This is why I'm reassured. They say, and then they do. Not fast, but faster than any other developer group I know.
Game hasn't even been out three months to date, though we're getting awfully close.

Small adjustments? When theyve nuke-nerfed DKs and 1h & s into oblivion?

You need to have the "Common Sense" passive to see that sorting option.ruze84b14_ESO wrote: »Ragnar_Lodbrok wrote: »ruze84b14_ESO wrote: »Ragnar_Lodbrok wrote: »ruze84b14_ESO wrote: »Thanks for the link, @Shaun98ca2.

I didn't know the leaderboards broke down to what weapon and armor they used. How do I find that feature?

Dragonknights still top the charts in Trials and in Cyrodiil campaigns. Still dropping their standards in group runs and throwing Talons out. I believe that is simply gross exaggeration on your part because they took the top performing class and brought them down a peg, and it *offended* you.
Sword and Shield ... don't see much of. Only time I saw them before was when they relied more on bash than they did damage output. Bash being such an obviously broken mechanic that ANYBODY could have told you they were going to nerf it. If you were in my guild, you WERE told.

A lot of us are pushing that. Melee targeting, for one, especially for 3rd person two-handers, is very difficult to manage. You don't just have to look in the enemies direction, but have to literally be focused on them.
I argue that melee should always have more output than ranged, simply to compensate for the time it takes to get to the target and keep on the target. Plus there's the entire issue of 'if the enemy is in range, you are in range'. Melee defenses are something to consider.
And single-target should always do more damage than AOE, to compensate for the increased time it takes to kill things and aiming.
When these two rules aren't followed, everyone ends up going ranged aoe (which is what you see in ESO, and a ton of other games). It's sad, but you simply can't afford to make them equal.
