Necromancers and Illusionists

I've noticed these kinds of NPCs in game a lot and from the start it's got me thinking. Wonder if these two could ever be introduced as player classes, or perhaps have Nercomancy Staff and Illusion Staff skill lines? I think they're pretty neat, and kind of fill in the utility gap that the four current classes have. (Acrobat would also make for a great class, but that's a different thread for a different time)

Would be really cool to raise a dead enemy to fight for you in PvP (making resurrection even more important) or to be able to cause them to be infuriated and attack their allies. Illusion could also have a Courage spell to empower allies or a blind that makes others unable to see.

Maybe we'll see more of these sorts of things when Spellmaking arrives.

Yeah, I agree that we'll likely see these types of effects when Spellcrafting arrives, since they wouldn't really fit into a class of their own right now. I mean, sure you could make a necromancer class, but that's one skill line, what do you use lore-wise for the other two? Probably better to have it as a separate skill line or even maybe some sort of Necromancy Guild (maybe players could join the Cult of Worms?).

Illusion could either be Spellcrafting or maybe we could get a Psijiic class that could have Illusion as a skill line.

Yeah, I agree, it'd be hard to stretch out those two as their own classes. The in-game staves, though, are preeeeetty darn cool looking.

They may be in the future. I think the mindset of the devs was just to cover the basics. Instead of going the tradtional TES route of a no class system, they decided to introduce some basic classes. DK=tank(well, did), Sorc= ranged dps templar=heals/off tank NB=melee dps

But then, they were like....s***, this is a TES game....so just for fun, they allowed you have any weapon type.

In the future, they may bring in more classes, but they have a lot of issues that are more pressing.
