@Oceanic Guilds & Campaign Selection
(I know this could completely come off as condescending, but I mean these as honest questions.)
With your time zones, I know why you play on the US/NA servers. What I want to know: how do you guys choose your campaign? Is your goal to pick a campaign with zero competition so you can PvE the keeps and enjoy the bonuses?
In GW2 and now ESO, we’ve run into a hefty force of players (who we never see because we’re asleep or at work) that enjoy to paint the map their color without any challenge or opposition. I can’t assume you’d want competitive PvP anymore than the NA folks who avoid it, but I know some of you have to enjoy competition. Beyond that, it’s 12+ hours a day of skewed point accumulation which does not reflect the true performance of the various factions during the time periods when the vast majority of the players are logged on.
We want to end up on a campaign that has competitive off-peak hours, so I would love to know the Oceanic guilds that aren’t out for RvM as if this was Warhammer. Any groups out there that fit this bill and have an idea on which rule-set they plan to play?

Sile✭✭✭Generally they meet on opposite factions of a RvR game. When the next game comes along they think it'll be nice to fight together for a change, and how much playing as allies will rock.
When the time comes, often, almost every guild will pick a server whether it's officially designated Oceanic or not. You'll get wide spread collusion for the same faction, but you still get the outliers. I know originally for this game a majority of PvP guilds picked AB.
Essentially, some of the big RvR guilds choose to play together and the rest is grapevine. You get people wanting to play opposite factions, but people generally want more people to play with.
Personally, we're DC, and we're going where the fight is, which we reckon will be the 30d Thornblade.Gondor

JeffKnight✭✭✭Except the majority of Oceanics on AB never see enemy players. The very few nights we can get people to go to 6 or 7 AM US Eastern time, we do rather well; but when we have to go to school, work, or sleep the map flips back yellow, no matter how far we push or where we got to. I know this frustrated the EP to no end too.
So to answer the OP's question - the majority of Oceanics are on AB and have people who want the bonuses that owning the full map bestows (this is the only explaination as to why whenever 1 alliance pushes out they AD shows up en masse to spawn camp). The few that value actual pvp went to other campaigns long ago. Leaving the majority behind on AB where they can pve the keeps to their hearts' content.0
