Three hours of playing Wildstar and so far it take's the prize.
The worst mmo I have ever played prize. I really hope it get's better or it's money down the toilet.
Why oh why didn't you trust me?
PS Till level 10 is mind numbingly boring, dunno after (I just couldn't stand it anymore) but I think WYSIWYG

I wish I had, but you know? You need to see for yourself.
I know it takes all sorts, but it's hard to understand how anyone could like WS and slag ESO. I know ESO has it's problems, but for me, WS is NOT a patch on ESO.
Some folks like playing "Bunnies in Space" but I just couldn't see getting into a game with characters like this:
The suspension of disbelief would just be too difficult to pull off, and I've no interest in spending time in a universe of cartoonish space bunnies and hamsters.
Believe me, the graphics are the least of its problems, I think the clunky combat, terrible performance even on powerful systems and the horrid quests get the podium
The combat's a hell of a lot tighter than in ESO.
Don't care - still looks like some freakish hybrid of a bad Japanese anime flick and a Tom and Jerry cartoon, complete with cartoonish hamsters and bunnies.
Sorry, but just can't get into something like that. Perhaps were I a teenager...
Same. Got both, played both, canceled this, play that every day now. Joke about the color palette all you want, but they're laughing all the way to the bank. Their game is amazing, completed, and years ahead of ESO in terms of features, and content (and actually having things to do). WS community is paying for actual premium content, rather than the hope that someday they might get it. I really wanted it to be ESO to rule them all, but this is just early-access for console release. It's not finished. We're literally a laughing stock all over the internet but here, since its the MMO that pretty much only allows you to play by yourself. ZoS is probably playing WS, which would explain massive silences and no communication. *sigh*
Compared to WS, ESO is a masterpiece in regard to graphics. Some folks like playing "Bunnies in Space" but I just couldn't see getting into a game with characters like this:

Yeah cos ESO is real mature...

Got to V2, had around 26million gold (picture above is to kinda prove it)
Friend gave me Wildstar guest key, never looked back at ESO since.
Just thought id share.
And chance you would make a gold donation to humble eso player who still playing?
Doubt he can, he doesn't play because players that exploited the gbank dupe got banned

Tastes. Nothing wrong in that, we are all different, but the problem is when someone projects his own tastes on everybody else.
I don't go on WS trolling people because their tastes are different from mine.
I would appreciate they did the same
But more on topic: people who find TESO refreshing and love the action combat, virtual living world and questing aren't likely to like wow style dead environment on rail questing or hotbar rotation gameplay.
Likewise, people who like wow combat and want to rush to endgame aren't going to enjoy TESO and will find the combat "clunky"

Actually it's subpar all the way to 20. Then it opens up. Compared to ESO vet levels tho....yeah there's that.

All well and good Lalai (nice name btw) and I believe you also. Is there a song about your name? If not then there should be. Have to call that Clapton guy and have him tweak some of the code.
Both games to my mind had very good launches, but overall as I mentioned I'm finding my personal experience in ESO the lesser polished and over buggy compared to Wildstar.
The bottom line will be sub retention. We'll see how the numbers shake out 6 months from now for each game. I'm hoping they both game succeed and succeed big.
On a side note: probably shouldn't offer the WS guest passes - might get the thread closed lol.

I must be one of the odd birds that likes both. Lucky me!

I am not really in any rush to get to VR so there's that too.
What I like in TESO, aside the quality of questing and the combat, is that's a true living world. You know, I even go fishing
I am not getting any of that from WS. I had a guest pass from a friend who wants me to get into it but after one day I knew that all I hated about it in beta was still there. Not my cup of tea.
Ironically, my friend, who played the hell out of it in closed and open beta on multiple characters, is already burned out and not logging in anymore...

They both did have pretty good launches, pretty standard stuff. Much better than some past ones (I constantly complain about the FFXIV:ARR launch myself).
I hope both games are successful enough to remain sub based long enough for boyfriend and I to get our fill. Tend to dislike the F2P stuff, have no idea how long either of us will subscribe to either game.. and I tend to be rather selfish in that I don't care whether a game goes F2P or not after I'm exhausted/bored of it. Probably a mean thing to say, but it's rather true.
It's why I tend to dislike most of the "how many people are playing?" and "when do you think the game is going F2P?" threads on any game. It just doesn't matter to me because there's nothing I can do about it either way. Even if I knew the date a game was going under, I'd still play up until that point.. knowing the date doesn't do anything for me.
As to the guest passes.. I would hope they'd just remove my post and not close the thread :x I haven't gotten a warning about it (yet).. but no one has messaged me for one either.

Good pts. Overall I think I prefer ESO ambience and aesthetic elements, and even the combat slightly more. Overall game mechanics and character progression favor Wildstar - all personal opinion. PvP def favors ESO - again personal opinion lol.
My ESO toons are in the 20s, all five of them - so I'm in no rush and taking a break from all of that gd questing. I'm hoping there's something to do at VR levels because I sure as heck am not going to all those silly quests over again. But then I'm hoping at VR1 Cyro will be more fun than at lvl 20. Getting eventually 1 shot in Cyro was a big downer.

WS graphics = crap
ESO graphics = good

I've played my month. I can't justify paying a monthly fee to play a single player game. I'd rather just continue playing skyrim for free.
There is no 4-man, 12-man and PvP in Skyrim. No grouping options. No world bosses scaled for mulitplayer, either. And no guilds. No trading between players. If you missed that all these multiplayer features are in the game, you must have done somthing wrong. Zenimax is looking into the phasing technology to make it easier to quest together. When this works better, the leveling content is more "scaled" towards duo+ play than f.i. a game like WoW. Which has been P2P for 10 years.

I was using hyperbole to make a point (which obviously went over your head). The point is that any MMO that forces you to solo is bad .... real bad. What goes over my head is the discussion that must have taken place when they decided to implement that terrible feature.
"Don't you think it would be great to force people to solo many of the instanced quests?!?!"
"Oh my god! That's like a next-generation-kind-of-idea!!!"
"Yea! Like, even if they're already in a team, they'll have to do it by themselves!"
"They won't be able to give help or receive help at all on these quests!!"
"That's a great idea for a Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game!!!"
No thanks. Once they fix this, I'll definitely give it a try again. But until they do, I'd rather play an MMO that doesn't force me to solo.
