Dungeons Lore and mistakes of youth:(

Firstly, I love the lore in the ES series, and I do not know how I could play ESO not biting into it as deeply as possible.
But I have a problem which plagued probably many other players. When I was a low level player often chosed a LFG system to came across players. Often they had no interest in the lore or they just rushed through the dungeon. Often, for this reason I also had to skip lore. Now I would gladly redo low leveling caves just for the story. Unfortunately this is not possible. Once finished the quest can not be repeated and lore from NPC talking is gone. But there is for me little faint glimmer of hope. Not so long ago Devs wrote that the they are working on changes in dungeons system which would allow adjusting the level of the cave to group leader level. So the question is would you like (together with that changes) to see the ability to redo the quest associated with the story in a dungeon? Of course, a reward for re-finish the quest cant be skill point but only a random item or same gold.

The difference of views between players in a group is one reason I avoid groups for story-based content as much as possible.

Sadly in some games it's not possible. Take FFXIV for example, leveling is gated by regular group-only instances and it's an never-ending battle between those playing for the 'story' and those for whom leveling is a chore they have to endure to reach the 'real game' as they see it which only becomes available at level cap.

The last two instances in the main story in that game are 8-man 'full groups'. Throughout there are a series of hugely entertaining cut-scenes that tell the story as your participate in it .. and in nearly every group that runs them there'll be some, maybe most, who'll skip the CS and 'speedrun' (to use the term the players coined) through leaving those wanting to watch the story behind.

The fundamental different between these two groups of players can never be bridged, and disappointment and frustration will ensue, usually by those wanting to 'play' the story.

ESO doesn't have cut-scenes but even so, pause for a moment to read through quest text and the rest of the group you're in is often way ahead and you can easily miss out on the next boss kill entirely. It will always be thus as far as I can see.

Oooh, I'd love that. I PUGed the dungeons too, sometimes with people who wanted to know the story too so we did it slowly, but often with rushers. I hope I can re-do them at my own pace with my alt, now that I have more like-minded people on my friends list. But still, it would be great if everyone had access to the lore they had to skip earlier.
