The quests and boss acheivements don't sync.

I was adventuring in Cyrodiil and killed a boss in a cave while looking for a Sky Shard; but I when into a village, I was given a quest to kill the same boss, even though I already killed it ( I had the explorer achievement for killing this boss before getting the quest). So I had to fight the same boss which was really a waste of my time and cost me a lot of soul gems and repair kits.
So I can't get credit for the quest until the quest giver gives it to me first, unlike in Skyrim where you can complete the quest objective before the quest giver assigns it to you. Am I correct about this.
If so, then the correct strategy would be to NOT have fun and just explore, but to search for the quest givers first, do all the quests, and then search for sky shards and other loot.

✭✭✭Shouldn't do that. Unless its a high level dungeon or something. I know after the last patch some achievements didn't show up after beating certain dungeons. But every time I do a public dungeon I get an achievement quest or not.0 -
Elencha✭✭✭I'm not certain about Cyrodiil, but I had, (or thought I had), this exact problem with Banished Cells. It turned out that just walking back into the dungeon completed the quest. Literally, try just going into the dungeon and out again.0
