We are currently investigating issues some players are having on the North American Xbox megaserver. We will update as new information becomes available.

If Arena Appear - no rank grind allowed, should be real cyrodiil war only!

Rank system should only apply and be able to be gotten in the real war, meaning open world cyrodiil.
Anything Emperor will only be able to be gotten in Cyrodiil.

Saying this, because people would be power grinding ranks in Arena alike content if it is an option.

I don't believe in an easy way around to archieve something.

    I think you should get full kill points in arena. You can't AP grind hard won small scale matches. Compared to zerging around in Cyrodiil it's negligble ap.

    I would say leave the XP/AP for the arena fights. What I would like to see is the arenas be like the one in Cyrodill in Oblivion. 1 fight at a time, and let people watch/bet on the fights. Make it to where each arena has a que and you have to wait for the invite to enter. That way you can't just do arena match after arena match. Also I hope that arenas have 1 v 1, 2 v 2, 3 v 3 and 4 v 4. anymore than 4 I think would be to much. but having small group combat involved would be really cool to watch.

    ... we want arenas for competition... not for a way to generate ap...

    this is why pve players shouldnt comment on pvp threads

    There would be completion when players are COMPETING.
    Arena with no incentive is not competition.

    the "incentive" to arena is competition, not aps.

    in daoc, we had 8v8s for years with the majority of all players involved up over r11 where you dont really rank up any higher. that didnt stop competition, as competition continued for many years despite nobody caring about rps.

    competition has nothing to do with aps.

    How is fighting and beating someone not competing? Fighting for the sake of bragging rights is way more of a competition than doing it to grind out the next set of gear etc.

    There should be a ladder and rating system, but I really do not think it should give any kind of rewards (no ap, no gear). If anything it should give achievements and titles and nothing else.

    its obviously more competitive than anything you have done before, so its understandable that you are afraid of it.

    but arenas are coming, whether you like it or not. bads are not required to participate anyway, so i dont see what your problem is with it.

    lol again, nobodys forcing anyone to play arenas, and skilled players want competition and dont care about rewards. competition is its own reward.
