Vet level questing is soul destroying and dull.

I'm in DC.

Done all AD vet level dolmens, world bosses and dungeons, all pretty straight forward and no problems finding pugs when needed.

I'm now going back to do the Almanec quests so I can get access to EP zone.

I am sad to say that this questing is extremely dull and tiresome. Having done all the AD quests and storyline I have little interest in the AD quest line and it is very slow.

I think gating the next zone like this was a mistake. I'ts soul destroying, even compared to the mindless Crag xp farming this is dull.
At least the spelling is difficult for you.

agreed. its the most heavily talked about subject and has been for well over a month. and in that time zos has chosen to do nothing. the 3month subs mark is due soon . they will lose more over this then. i know my initial 3 month sub won't be renewed till some major fixes to vet mode and my class (templar) arrive.

I loving questing but VR just takes the joy out of it.

Good thing you're the Vestige and don't have a soul to destroy.

Its only dull when you are in a hurry to get to top level and are watching the xp bar like a hawk.

It's like the clock. It only moves when you're not looking.

No..no..no! VR is just like you are forced to watch the clock go tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock.................∞

Everquest has massive dungeons to break things up.

I really expected massive dungeons with ESO considering Skyrim, Oblivion, Morrowind, etc...but the dungeons in ESO are tiny.

If you could throw 2-3 MASSIVE Solo/Duo/Group dungeons per zone, with better drops than GREENS that'd keep people busy for a LONG TIME.

That's what an MMO is.. Levelling up, developing your character, getting to max level , earning loot, raiding, playing with friends. Very little mmo players play the game for the story. When the levelling process gets too long and people start getting bored before they reach max level, you know there's a problem

I do not feel forced to watch it. I do not watch it. I am Vr4 now. No hurry to get to V12. In fact when i dinged v4 a few days ago it surprised me.

I am more interested in leveling my skills than vet rank tbh. Using the vet zones/quests to catch up with all those skills i never used before. Some of them are cooler than i thought. Discovering new ways to play. Fun. Vet ranks be damned.

It's probably not good when people describe the gameplay as soul destroying.

The problem is there is very little character progression or reward for all that work... and it's a LOT of work. Yeah, you get skill points to spend on skills that you already have but have chosen not level up. The loot is lame, and at the very end you get a blue necklace that gives you some stamina and health regen... wow!

Why not a new veteran ability line? How about some epic or legendary drops? The costumes you get automatically aren't a bad idea, but why not make them rare drops from vet content instead? I never wear mine because everyone at my level has them, so there's nothing "cool" about them. Rare unique pet drops? Other cosmetic things? Something to show for all that questing! Bosses at the end of questlines dropping nothing but 5 gold? Come on! Throw us a bone here!

I just finished Cadwell's Gold, and at first I liked the questing. The lack of any kind of reward is what turned me off to it. VR8 - 10 were torture to get through because of it and even I started skipping quest dialogue because I just stopped caring.
