Clearing Standard and Vet Dungeons Issue?

What am I missing? I completed the main quest, participated in a lot of PvP etc and am now Vet level but only completed one dungeon (Banished Cells) in my original faction along the way.
I am now trying to go back through and clear dungeons but it appears that I can no longer access the standard level (and associated standard content) of dungeons and get defaulted into the veteran version of the dungeon. Is there a way to change this so that I can clear the standard version first and then work on clearing the vet version? From what I understand there are achievements and skill points that I will be missing out on if I cant go back and complete the standard dungeons.

Worstluck✭✭✭✭✭If you open the party screen, there are symbols at the top that allow you to select either normal or veteran. Be sure to select normal before zoning in. It resets too, so you will need to periodically change it back. I made the mistake of going to Fungal Grotto and forgot to change it...I died very quickly :'(
